I'm pretty sure that they're rated at like 224 again or something like that, and i'm also pretty sure that the turbo is smaller than previous years and spools really fast...any input Blue32?

I'd say take it back to the dealer and have them fix/replace the front bumper...tell em ya don't want a brand new car with two holes in it...If that don't work ya can do what i did...lil bit of spot puddy and some touch up paint...

2 months ago when they showed shots of the 08s on the web we all bashed it to helll and this dude picks one up and all the sudden they are hot? get the **** outta here. look man to go from that r32 to this is a total shame imo. i love r32s especially urs and u traded it for an 08 wrx? i respect anyone decision bc its their moneya dn they can do what they want, as long as ur happy thats what matters. but lets all stop gushing over a car we all bashed 43 minutes ago ok? hypocrites |

damn dude, take a deep breath. sorry we cant all be as real as you. i know his reasons for changing it up (and you obviously dont), and its what made sense for him to do right now. the car looks quite nice in white... so i'm giving it a big thumbs up. i'm not gonna sit here and post all the things i dont like about the car, i'm gonna pat my buddy on the back for a new car he's excited about.

These cars are growing on me. I still can't stand the sedan... the greenhouse is too tall, decklid too narrow.. it just looks like a generic economy sedan. The hatch looks so much better, I just don't like those funky taillights.
Get some red vinyl overlays or something on those tails! And congrats on the purchase as well!

lol I said it wasn't my style, hence +1. If I wanted to verbally tear him to pieces, trust me, I would have. I have very little problem with holding my tongue.
That being said, the sedan version looks like a Corolla. But, the dude obviously loves it and that's that. BTW, the R32 is rubbish.

Frank has a valid point. Quite ironic how the tides change.
And not knowing his reasons leaves us to make assumptions as such. I too prefer the R32, I am a big fan of those bad boys. More pics without a wide ass lens would be sweet too.

Well George, I for one have liked them from the beginning so Good job! White cars look awesome, except Barry's on a regular basis LOL
Also the Turbo is the same MHI TDO4L with a different housing to mate to the TMIC. Its the same EJ25 that the LGT has but with a TDO4L instead of a VF40 that the Legacy has.

Thanks guys,, and for all you haters just so you know i only paid 10k for the car and I got rid of a car that was slowing starting to give me problems and was gonna rack up some serious bills...
![]() as far as the turbo being smaller I have no idea,, all i do know is that it seems to spool pretty fast and from low rpms.. it has no lag and it pulls really nice but i dont have anything to compare it to cus its my first FI car.. Perrin did a ton of work on one and got some good resaults.. http://www.perrinperformance.com/pages/show/56 READ HERE FOR 2008 WRX TEST AND TUNE ARTICLE So how much WHP did our car make at the track?? Just before we left, we took delivery of a dyno (yes its been a long time coming), but there just wasn’t time to set the car up and do a base run, so it would have to wait until we get back. Well we are back and the results were very surprising. As expected the GT3071R makes a little less HP than a GT3076R, but spools quicker. This was the reason why I chose this turbo, better response for autocrossing and normal driving. The car makes almost 340Ft-lbs of torque, and 320WHP. This was at the 16psi we ran at the track, and no wonder why we were keeping up with cars we thought were way faster. When tuned to 18psi we made 365WHP, and 375ft-lbs of torque, while this is a good safe place to leave the car for engine durability issues, we have to push the car a little to see where this turbo starts to loose its breath. At 21PSI, we made 385WHP, and 390FT-lbs. Plenty of power for a street car!
