What happened to 94.1 wysp?

Huh, weird. I used to listen to 94.1 alot but then I was yearning more music on my drive and I found 104.5 and left the dial on that since. Barsky and Kidd Chris weren't that bad when I only tuned in to them every once in a while. I could imagine at least Kidd Chris would get old after a month straight though.

everyone doesnt like kidd chris on here cause i really dont think they gave it more than 10 minutes...that radio show is amazing and after a while in this crappy format it will be back to the great show it was...i miss barsky

I can tolerate that show for a little while. Eventually Steve will get on my nerves for cutting in with some lame jokes or impressions while Preston is trying to speak.

NPR is the station I have kept going back to for a few years now. They some great stories/world news in the morning along with Car Talk and You Bet Your Garden on the weekends. A little lame? Possibly, but I enjoy it.

radio drives me nuts, i started listenin to 96.5 and q102 becuz they play all the same rock songs, now i hear all the same bs on them rap stations, now i listen to 103.3 and 88.5 wxpn, ull never hear repeats, they play random ****, like beethoven, old school rap, hard core punk, everything, alot sucks though. i need to buy a sirius again

Okay well here is the information for all of you....
Opie and Anthony is still syndicated to 94.1 for the next 3 years so unless 94.1 wants to continue paying syndication fee's without using them, they wont get rid of them. The Barsky show was canceled, however Barsky works for 94.1 for "outside research" whatever that means and the co-host vinny still does eagles game help. Matt and Huggy were let go and are moving to internet radio if they cannot find another philly or ac job in the next 6 months. Kid Chris and Thomas are currently working for 94.1 as "dj's" even tho it is still called the kidd chris show. Scotty and alex were let go same day as matt and huggy and are currently looking for jobs. The station changed formats as you were all talking about, i PERSONALLY loved the format, you dont have that on any other station, barsky show was crap, but matt and huggy, kidd chris and scotty and alex i really liked. Their whole campaign now is to try and make fun of MMR and take audience. So thats it in a nut shell

I didn't like the Free FM idea when it began, and i'm happy its back to where it was. If I want talk radio i'll go to AM.

Plus, we all know talk radio in Philly is WIP and nothing else. Don't even kid yourselves!

i did too, awesome guy, just i got annoyed of it sometimes. i just dont really see why they changed the format to this, liek from a marketing point of view. maybe my POV is jaded

yeah well dunno thats radio tho, the least job security ever, although everyone who was canned is still under contract for one amount of time or another and they do infact get paid till that contract is up, however everyone knows you get paid jack ish to be on the radio unless your O&A or pres & steve

Wow is this for real? Last year during school I would listen to all these talk shows except for O&A (I thought they sucked and were too early to begin with). Matt and Huggy was my favorite of them all. They were all good talk shows in my opinion. I haven't listened to them shows though since last semester ended. Wow I really can't believe this happened.

The Kidd Chris Show can go anywhere though. A lot of people hate that show but he has been all over this country. I am gonna miss Barsky on my way to to school in the mornings.

They just had Kidd Chris sign his contract a few months ago for one year starting in August, so he's hardly 1 month into his latest contract. I haven't had the radio on in the afternoon in about 2 weeks; are he and Thomas completely off the air now?

yea they have a contract, i was pretty sure it was for 2 years but, no they are on the air and they are the "kidd chris show" however their like disc jokey's they talk for like 2 min then play 5 songs then commercials then talk for 5 min
