Ya the wiring in this car is possibly the most shotty bit of ghetto-osity I have ever seen. Even the stereo system was scary to remove . . . . Ryan you need to post the fuse pic from last nite....?

Good luck dude.
If I was working at an independent shop and this came in I would say leave. Gotta make the right choices to make money, this would be the wrong choice.

Hahaha Area1320 is a professional shop and doesn't discriminate on age, sex, religion etc. but I do. =)

I am sure Ryan wants to keep this on topic though. The wiring isn't much of a problem since all of that needs to be replaced anyway with this swap. The car is a perfect candidate for a swap meaning it is a perfect body and interior. This thing is going to be hawt and I don't like subies to begin with.

THere is nothing I hate more than working on hacked up cars. Most of the worst cars that come into my shop are DSM's. Those little POS's will have 400hp but leak a quart of oil an hour.

no this isnt a charity case. This is what I do and what I specialize in.

This is actually going to be a very easy swap. 99% of the garbage in there is getting ripped out. All I have to do is switch harnesses and rewire the alarm. easy peasy

I took this project on becasue I hate seeing butchered scoobs running around..esp after other shops said no way. To me, that in itself is unprofessional to turn a customer away without going over their options first.

I guess by convicing her, you told her that you were going to drop in a new engine and stuff for... like alot of money, lol.

"We'll fix your overheating issue, no problem!"
"Really? Thanks!"

*Comes back two weeks later*

"All done!"
"Great, how much? $5000"
"..."

Lol.
