I live near 3 train stations and my place of work is the next street down from The Gallery. So yes, I would be on a monthly pass with Septa.

it means you're new to the job/area/field....like a novice working their way up, not really a bad thing just a step in a different direction

I thought it had to do with emissions and such. Not driving as much, less pollution.

yea, it can be taken in a few different ways, but since she's saying everyone in the business is telling her that, I'd almost expect it to be taken the way of the novice or n00b. Environmentally friendly is another way to interpret for which I believe the person posting above her hinted at.
