You can download mp3s anywhere and for free, but iTunes is pretty much the best music management software out there. And anything that comes close costs money.

The reviews Ive read havent been that fantastic. It seems most are either iffy to ok. I thought I read it doesnt have any kind of SD slot so upgrading memory isnt gonna happen. You gotta use what you have. The plans seem very limited also being you have to purchase from a special list of iPhone plans. I might just upgrade to this instead..

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/s...ompletedOrder=

and wait for the second-gen iPhones to get released.

do you need a perticular service for the I-Phone? Or is it Cingular/AT&T only?

I'll wait until V3 or V4..

like the ipods when they worked out all the bugs and got slimmer and more in depth.

Yeah my girlfriend, her family, and mine all use ATT so pretty much every call I make is free so I can't look into any competing thing from Verizon or T-mobile. I am wondering, like Ducky, if there will be issues so I am waiting for V2 or 3 which should line up with when I get another phone anyway.

And yeah it is only ATT.

You know there is one thing I really want that it offers (I know I made a long post before but I was just playing devils advocate, I picked the Blackjack over the iphone) I really want the visual voicemail, it shows your voice mail almost like an e-mail where you can select them out of order and hear them. I just had to sit through 7 messages to get to one from my girlfriend, I would have like to just skip the 4 messages from gamespot telling me about my reserved games hahaha.

It would be great have something that has all the features of the iPhone, however there is nothing else that does.
So buy an MP3 player that works better and stores more content! You will be asked to turn the phone off on the plane anyways!

I've been saying this to people for a while, but the only crappy thing is certain revisions of this phone (or maybe all) aren't able to accept SD cards above 2GB. Some have gotten 4GB cards to work but they had to do some special funky partition to make the whole card visible. 8125 FTW

Again, no one knows the full potential or the downfalls of an iPhone yet. However if there is something that I can watch movies, take calls, listen to music, check email/internet, and sync with iCal and itunes all on one small device, I would like to see it.

Just really stinks that this phone is not 3G. I don't get it. It promotes Internet but does not utilize the 3G technology. ugh.....

not being 3g does really blow, but having the wifi does help make up for it a little. Of course all things being equal having both would be perfect. My big complaint about the blackjack is that it supports 3G but not wifi like the 8125, but like I said before I am done carrying around anything that is more brick then phone so no 8125 for me.

I have the 8525. I am a gadget freak so when the iPhone first was displayed I was all over it. But... I need something that is robust with geek crap and buisness use. So the 8525 really does it all for me. It is a bit bulky but I can sync my outlook use WiFi and bluetooth as well as email and direct push email. So really is the best option for a fully featured phone. I could use it as an MP3 player if I wanted.

I think the iPhone is going to do well but for the Phone geek community I don't think it will be a fad.

I agree. I have an tmobile mda and with all the **** available for windows mobile now, you can do just abotu anything you want. And mines touch screen, full keyboard, gps, sd slot. Had it about 1.5 years now and so far no problems. Everytime i hear about some new feature some new phone has, i just go online and download a program to do the same thing.

P.S. I remember reading about some guy in the uk that made itunes work on his windows mobile based phone. So if i really wanted itunes(which i dont), i'm sure there is a way.

That would be a better choice if it wasn't for the t-mobile part. I have a friend that works in their call center in Allentown, she carries a cingular phone in addition to her free/discounter t-mobile phone because the coverage doesn't get her all the way to work lol.

**EDIT**
Broken if it's only 3 that's a little sad hahaha
