haha , nice turn out on this thread.

bottom line point is, 18 weeks of course work is crammed into 5 weeks, basically making each day a week, giving me one extra day to study.

yea chem is A LOT of out of class study time, and that gives me only 1 day to study 6 hours or so for the following days quiz and lab. the lab itself has homework which are the pre-labs and also reading the entire thing to get a heads up.

Oh and I'd take a 60 hour a week job any day for the summer rather then having to deal with tests, quizzes, labs, midterms and finals. Job = go to work, make money, leave. No thought involved in my summer job at all
some how i still manage to have fun though

When you find a job where you don't have to work hard to make good money and it is easier then school let me know. I am dying to leave my job for an opportunity like that.

If I could have stayed in school for the rest of my life I would have. A hell of a lot easier then working. Then again I am trying to get my MBA from HBS so that should be fun. Then I can make a thread bitching about school work and work.

do something you like then dude. if you hate your job your whole life, aka being a business major, then thats your own fault honestly. I can't wait to get out of school and start applying my education to hands on, real life things. I might even be getting my own weight lifting supplement company going with a friend of mine after a couple of years. Sure jobs are tough, but I'd rather be out any day making loot and applying myself to actual real life situations.

Never said I hate my job or life, not sure where you got that from. But if your idea of hard work or hard life is what you described in your orginal post you have a lot of growing up to do.

When I went to college my first time, I was a full time student (m-f, not those days/hours bull**** that everyone complains about) from 8am to 2:30pm. I got home, got changed, and went into work at 4pm, and closed the store at 11pm, and stayed for cleanup until 11:30-12am, depending on how bad it was. I opened on weekends too. I dropped out due to monetary issues because I got laid off on Christmas Eve.

The second time I was in college, I was again a full time student. 7am-3pm. I also worked again from 4pm-10pm in cherry hill. I had exactly 1 hour to get from Bristol to Cherry Hill. I did it. Made a ton of money too. Every day and saturdays. That job ended and I got another one working just saturdays. I eventually graduated, and now I work in a 24-7 shop.

I still don't see what you're bitching about. Wah, you go to school 3 days a week. Man up.

Oh, I should mention, I work every holiday, I have no vacations right now, and I haven't been to the shore in 4 years. Not only that, I've never had a vacation on a job.

Not only that, but when it's 97 degrees outside, my shop is 130degrees easy. I don't want to hear about how your summer sucks while most of us are busting our asses all day at work in hot weather.

Props to the mechanics in unairconditioned shops, props to the construction workers, and props to the HVAC guys that have to always go out in hot weather and work on failed units.

I cant say that I have it tough, but before graduation, i was working 40 hrs at one job, another 15 at another, and on top of that, 4 classes everyday.

Now, i graduated, and work the same hours, just in a different job. Honestly, i believe that if you are doing this in college and doing well, imagine how well you can do once you hit the "real world"

hmm.. your summer sucks because you have school and work part time? damn, you must have had a sheltered life.

having summer 'off' stopped after senior year in high school as far as i'm concerned. going to school was your choice.. suck it up. i would love to have the problems listed in your first post, hah, my life would be a hell of a lot easier.

EDIT:

By the way, this isn't a thread to post applications for dirty jobs with host mike rowe. lots of people do lots of different types of work at differing hours...leave it at that.
