LOL the move I can do ...just remember though that all new laptops in stores will have Vista so make sure all the stuff you use is compatible. If not make sure you have a Windows XP disc so you can install it on the new laptop.

You can still order Dell laptops/desktops with Windows XP if you go though the small business section. I'm glad they still offer this because man the people at my work would hate me if I setup vista on their desktops.

If you have an XP disk then you are good to go. Unless you get bit with the genuine windows thing.

I dont know if any of my programs will work with Vista. I know Photoshop CS2 will. I have it on the one computer at work but I dont know about Premier Pro. Havent tried or looked into it. I hate the look and feel of Vista. Hmm. I would love to have a HD DVD drive and a bigger processor. Kinda mad I bought that HD camera now. Should have upgraded the laptop. lol

I just stick with XP for now. Make sure your printers work with vista also. Had to wait a few months for some of the printers here at work to get driver support.

Like I said you can always set up a partition on the laptop to have XP still on there..just more work to do when you pull the new laptop out of the box.
