Starscream as an F-22 was definitely a highlight for me. And Frenzy played the part of the transforming radio (I’m not sure why they didn’t use Soundwave instead.)

I knew long before the movie came out that the majority of vehicles were going to be GM products (Jazz should definitely be a Porsche.) But it’s good PR for GM and I doubt if there is a sequel they’d be able to use only GM products. GM doesn’t have enough cars for the additional robots in a sequel – perhaps we’ll see more variety in the future.

It was a bit tough making out detail when the robots were fighting hand to hand, however, I thought the good far outweighed the shortcomings. I thought the film captured the power of our own military machines. Seeing Blackout transform for the first time from an MH53 was great, and watching a C-130 gunship unload on the Scorpion was impressive as well.

It felt like Armageddon, however, the action sequences were on steroids. An absolute must for any action fan.

Besides, you get to watch a woman working under the hood. That’s something that never gets old.

I would've like to have seen Soundwave instead of Frenzy, but he was annoyingly funny.

it's like a childhood dream come true for me!!! I've been a die hard fan since they first came out on TV and I don't care what anyone says: even if they obscured the legacy of the whole franchise a bit with the robots as different everyday items or they had mainly GM vehicles instead of your favorite "me, too" car, I still think the movie was an excellent presentation. I believe their goal was to re-introduce the franchise to light to welcome fans old and new alike. and as directors and writers, with a pre-determined budget and to keep everything in a modernized aspect, they could only do so much to bring as many key characters to CG realization as they could.

I'd see it again! ^_^

Live free or die hard ranks right up there with this in my eyes.

Megan fox is def a pretty girl, She looks better in the movie than in those pictures though...But all in all it was great, there making another one It was left open at the end, I just hope the same cast stays with it (Mainly Fox)

But I do agree the CG effects were wicked crazy and a little hard to follow (The last Megatron Optimus Prime Fight looked like a ball of metal rolling around)

Still I'd see it again.

Badass movie.

I really would like to know about that "Home Video" trailer in the beginning as well.

1-18-08 I believe the date was on the end of the trailer??

Fishing around the Internet for a total of about 3 minutes found me that the mysterious trailer before the movie was shot by JJ Abrams about one of his upcoming films entitled (as of now) "Cloverfield."

A monster movie...in NYC.

Find the trailer on YouTube...they keep deleting it but if you search for "1-18-08" "Transformers Trailer" or "Cloverfield" it should come up with SOMETHING.

Listen the roar in there...another new Godzilla movie??

What else (in fictional history) sounds like that??

Saw it last night. That was one of the best movies I've seen in a long long time. Hell, I'd probably jump at another chance to watch it again. Megan Fox = Hot! but not with all that makup on. Gross!

Yes! When they had the predator fly over and then the C-130 start unloading I got so stoked. I like that they kind of stayed true to our actual military capabilities, not make them look silly like Die Hard did with the F-35.

I thought the movie was great. Some cheesy lines thrown around and some of the fight scenes were filmed a bit to close but I stil thought it was great.
