Depends on what you run. Since I'm swapping everything wrx I either had to get a wrx wagon front swap bar or an sti front swap bar. You might not if you run the legacy crossmember but I'm not totally sure.

yes it is, start looking

If you get a turbo legacy crossmember you can basically use any turbo legacy front swaybar or use the 02/03 which I believe it should fit.

Hmm fun. Anyone know if perrin stuff fits to our cars? It says "Impreza WRX" on thier website, and I emailed, and IMed them, but they havent responded yet... I'm guessing it might be just 06-07... but I can't really tell. Anyway, another thing on the list is gauges! Yes... god damn they are pretty expensive. I would prefer to match them with the color scheme (red white unlit, and green lit) but that might be pushing it. I talked to Justin earlier (Renegade_) about Greddy, but I couldn't seem to find any of that color scheme, at least the lighted part, they were all red.

As for where I am going to put them... I'll have to see. I don't like pillar guages much, kinda just shouts out "I have a turboed car" and atm, I would love to keep it... semi stock looking?

Lol.

Basically it took around 9 hours to get the car from the first pic, to the last pic, and that is where it sits now... I am working on the interior slowly (dont want to lose anything) and waiting on some things to arrive in the mail. Once those arrive, the interior should be nekked, and I should already be starting on splicing the harness' together.

Now that you mention it... how the hell do you get the upper part of the dash off? I have the lower part, where the wires all meet up under the steering column and the glove box, but the upper part (gauge cluster, and above that where its flat with the airbag on passenger side) I can't seem to find the damn screws / bolts holding it in place.

Edit: Part of its loose, the lower part but something is holding it on. Maybe its clips?

make sure you pull the plastic trim panel where the dash meets the windshield. there are 2 10mm bolts hiding there.

Other than that there are a few holding the dash to the dash beam on the pass side near te airbag.

this help?

Haha, I got people to come over, Renegade invited like 3 other guys over and they just started ripping stuff apart. All the stuff I did of course was NOT photographed, lol. If I can't get my bloody dash off, I'll give ya a call.

Thanks 1320 for the tip, I'm going to check that out now. Freaken weather... so hot in my garage.

So in order to get the bloody heater core out, I need to take out the dash bar... if I take the dash bar out, will that mess with the steering column alignment? I am basically stuck on that for now.

your gonna have to pull the rack out anyway, so just unbolt it.
If you want to mae sure the grommet doesnt pull out of the firewall (its a pita to get back in) use somthing to support the wheel

Hmm ok, so I assume I have to pull the rack out, since I am swapping the N/A X-member with a turbo one? Also... am I going to need to completely re-aline the steering? How hard would that be? Thanks ryan, lol.

no problem dude.

If you mark on the knuckle where the rack goes into the steering shaft you should be able to re-align it no problem. If its still off, its easy as 4 bolts to adjust it. You will see what I mean when you are in there.
