So far, we have JSC Speed and Sign Effects, trying to get Blouch Turbos...any other vendors that you know of are certainly welcome, as long as they're not food or drink vendors.

Yes, slow, but reliable, unlike some DSMs out there, especially flat black ones with parts laying all around...

Awesome.....got lots of places for those flyers. BTW, didn't think about it - do we have a print shop that'll give us a killer deal on printing flyers, or do you want me to bring a couple of reams of paper somewhere? I don't have a copier..and my baby-sized printer can't handle that level of work.

Jon, I emailed blackbullettsi (Dex) about the website and entry form - let me know what I need to do to get this pushed through, and who can print out the flyers. I'll gladly drop off paper to them, where ever it is...I also have a guy who can help with them.

Julia Coccia (Sign Effects, signgirl.com) and I talked today and she's now doing t-shirts.....looking at "STAFF" and "SECURITY" shirts for the volunteers, plus nice golf shirts for the committee members. Baseball jerseys are cool, and what I really want, but they start at $28 or so each....

Woo hoo! I have tentative approval to do the show at the Oaks Business Center, where TST members meet on Tuesday nights. I actually talked to a live person who is in charge, and I'm just waiting for him to answer my formal request e-mail.

Yes, but the owner of Sonic failed to mention this to the property manager/developer of the shopping center, so two weeks ago, he had an ephipany and decided that I should contact the developer for permission..and by the way, since Sonic isn't an official sponsor of the event, I was on my own. Thanks for that.

So, with less than 5 weeks until the event, I'm having to change locations, still don't have a guaranteed place, no website, no flyers, etc.

If this doesn't develop in the next couple of days, I'm throwing in the towel, shutting this concept down, and I'll just lose the $500 in deposits I've dropped, and you'd better bet that I will NEVER attempt an event like this here in PA again.

I could go on with my rant, but common sense and social demeanor say otherwise.

Jim... I don't have a contact there, but I've been to car shows before at the Ridley Creek State park. They were "classic" shows, but still had live music and what not. Maybe since this is a good cause they'd be willing to host? Might be worth a try, in case you don't get Oaks to happen. I also know Delaware County Community college has hosted car shows as well.

That'd be cool - location really doesn't matter to me at this point - the thing I have to get done is to get approval for whatever site within a day or two - I can't submit a letter to a commitee that MIGHT let me know in a couple of weeks. If that's the case, as I'm seeing with other places, I'll just shut it down.

This is pretty damned disappointing, for sure.
