I just welded the flapper shut and cut off the IWG tube. Unless it's in the way, there's no harm in leaving it.

Can't you look at the DP?

EDIT: No longer need to ask that question since Troll answered it for me.

To me you are just wasting money putting an EWG on a stock (or VF series) turbo. For the 3-4 hundred $$ you throw into it, you might as well get a new turbo that WILL make more HP. My 0.02.

An EWG will not magically turn your small turbo into a big one.

Here, I'll ask a question that reflects your answer.

Should I waste my money on an ewg on a vf34?

Tial 38mm with 15psi spring and element tuning uppipe

I'll shoot you a pm later this week troll and see if maybe you could swing by for a little bit.

I still have to finish cutting my bumper and putting my front end together but I figured while its already apart might as well do the ewg.

I'm not arguing that he doesn't but like you said every body has their own priorities.

But I did read up on them and there seems to be somebody running a ewg with just about every turbo out there and comented on solid boost control, some hp gains and a pretty crazy ass sound!

I'm running a .9 bar spring in my 38mm running 21 psi with a vf30 and It's perfect. I have a perrin uppipe with a tial flang welded on. I suggest getting that route It's way cheaper and in the end you get a custom fit peace and you can run the dump anyway you like.

The gains I saw were deffently worth the money. Power band fattens up alot (You can hold boost out to redline depending on what boost controler you use)

Jeff, you have a Bosal DP on your car. I have a HKS which has no place for the wastegate to blow to if you would be interested in a trade.

A question I would ask your car about your avatar picture.

Q: Car, why do you look so angry in the picture?

A: Because he parks me in the city
