no, screw texting. If you can't talk then don't say a damn thing.

Texting was invented for the "yes" or "no" questions, or questions that can be answered in 3 words or less, where it would be stupid to waste a minute.

Movies, Driving, middle of conversation with other people are not time to be texting. That is the rudest thing a person can possibly do, start texting someone in the middle of a conversation with someone else. It's never been done to me but I've seen people do it and if it ever happens to me I'm beatin their face in with their ****in phone.

And texting while driving is not multi-tasking. It's bad driving. Period. Unless your phone can take dictation. You are taking attention and 1 hand (at least) away from the wheel and/or stick.

Personally it costs me money so I avoid it anyways.

^^^ terrible

edit: this should be before Jaster's post.

and, yeah. texting while driving is bad driving and I hope you guys get pulled over for doing it. The only thing I do while driving is listen to music. And I never fiddle with the radio while driving. I just listen to my mp3 CD and I'm set. I never adjust the volume or anything. I always keep 2 hands on the steering wheel. And, I never talk on the phone, even if I have a headset. I've never gotten into an accident. Some people don't understand how dangerous driving can be. You are controlling 2 tons of steel with a lot of momentum and some people just don't understand that simple concept.

Wow aren't you good.

S4toSTI: I know exactly what your talking about. Its usually not my girlfriend though, but actually my guy friends for some reason. I hate when that happens, but I guess they just don't like texting or it costs them too much money.

I'll admit it, I send tons and tons of text messages on my phone. Mainly when I'm bored at work or in class, or simply when I don't want to talk to someone or they can't talk on the phone.

And I do text occasionally on my phone also (I know its stupid), but I try not to anymore. The first day I had my SLVR (in fact the first text I ever sent on it) last year I was texting and not paying attention while pulling into my boys driveway and scratched my bumper.

Texting for the win. I cant wait until they come out with the speack and text, so i can just say what I want, have the phone write it in text form and hit send. The voice note is good also if the other person has it and you want to annoy them ha ha.

I text all the time...while driving, at work, at school... My phone is a POS and for some reason wont let me answer calls from most people, but it will let me text?

Plus, I dont really like talking on the phone all that much.

Yes! I totally agree with you Ivan!! I hate texting. I'd rather just talk to the person, sooo much easier.

This is true. Every time I think I've ever called you, they phone has just gone straight to VM. And then I hope that you will even get my message.

Ditto, screw fiddling with some little keypad that was never meant to convey letters in the first place. its a PHONE, old alexander invented it to bring people together through the inflection of voice and instant communication. not so they could bounce soulless electronic drivel at each other. and in the car? no way. if its even on, if (and considering my cars thats a big if) i can even hear it ring, the most i'll do is pull into a lot to answer it. much more likely i'll hit mute and call back later. 99.9% of the time whatever it is isint more important than my life or my property

I have a sidekick, which in my opinion is one of the most expedient phones when it comes to texting, and sometimes if I am in a situation where I can't text, ie: driving, or if I’m involved in a lengthy conversation, ie: best method of reprogramming a Saturn computer to achieve best possible torque control and what redline to bump the rev limiter to as well as what options to turn off, I find that calling directly is the fastest way to achieve my goal because I get fed up with texting.

However, in gay "I say things I wouldn't normally say to you in person because its text and I’m hoping and excited that you might be a little more open because you are a sissy in person" types of situations, I think that a question of phone conversation is in order before the call is placed.

Just my opinion on this crappy day that I have to be in work.

I hate when people text me instead of calling me if they have a lot of say. I'd be there for hours texting back and forth when we could accomplish the same conversion in 10 minutes. If you have something quick to say, that's fine. But I can't stand when people have in depth things to talk about and they text me instead of calling.

I won't even touch either of my phones (work or personal) when I am driving. I know a few people that drive cars with manual transmissions that talk on the phone and text while driving.

I just picked up the ENV from Verizon and its amazing with texting like a computer keyboard. I know my friends or girlfriend is either busy at work or school. it makes it practical for everyday to text and ask if its ok to call.

^^ true. with txting yeah I shortened it, you 1: have the balls to say what you wouldn't say in person or over the phone 2: have the ability to answer a question or end a conversation whenever you want. As far as using the phone at all while driving I usually don't do it but I do have an automatic so it's easier, another thing I do is have ringtones for certain ppl, like if my Mom is calling me I'll answer cuz I know shes calling for a reason.
