Well, I plan on just going to the body shop and getting the appraisal. Or is there another way?

Sorry, first accident, so I have no experience in this.

I may just do the spoiler delete kit (25$ for a set of matched plugs) if there is no damage under the spoiler, and get the rear bumper switched. From what i've gathered, the switch isn't too complicated, and I must assuredly need new foam. And since ill need new tips, they are gonna need to do some welding anyway.

Ive been in 2 accidents in the past year, this is how it worked for me.

Go to a shop, tell them you need a damage appraisal. They will go out, look at the car and will then write up the estimate on the computer and give you a print out (this is what they did with me).

After that, you send a copy to your insurance company and they will decide if they want an appraiser check out the car as well from the company. After the company talks with the garage doing the repairs they will mail you a check with money for the damages.

The first time I got nailed I had over 4,000 dollars worth of damage. I didn't pay a cent.

The second time it was just a cracked bumper so I got me a v2 STi rear bumper imported from japan with the money and got me the spats too ( I dont expect you to know subies, but it is kind of a mock-lip).

Basically they send you money, you decide how you will do it.

Alrighty. How long did this whole process take?

And i'm gonna need an appraisal of the exhaust. Those straight pipes prolly didn't help me in the collision..lol

Btw..opinions..

Spoiler delete. Could buy a kit of plugs for 25$. Could buy plugs and paint for 8$ (already have touchup paint). Could let the body shop do it for 400$.

If I choose the body shop route, I prolly won't be able to do the 05/06 swap. If i do the plug route, I will be able to do that.

Thoughts/opinions?
