Anyone here play pool?

funny this thread came up cuz i been playing non stop lately. i go to the spot alot and i have a pool table that i rarely use but i been using it alot lately.

does any1 ever see that one chick there, shes like one of the best pool players in the world, she did an interview on espn she said her fav place is the spot/fuscos. i seen her at the mall once, i think she has her own reserved table there cuz no1 ever used it. table 18

It's Karen Corr, Pete Fusco (the owner) is her coach. She lives off of street road in Feasterville with Julie Kelly, another women's player from the WPBA. They came over here from Ireland 6 or 7 years ago. She's usually there in the late afternoons playing/practicing, and she's very friendly but usually quiet unless you go up and introduce yourself. I used to play in Fusco's off of Bustleton every day while I was home, so I would talk to her a lot. A couple of us used to go to Valley Forge every year for the annual WPBA tournament there to support her, and talk to her on the side while she was playing. If anyone's looking to improve their game, I believe she and/or Pete still give private lessons.

On the topic of the thread, I'm always up for playing when I'm home. I ran the pool club at my college for three years, so I'm also open to putting together a tournament or helping anyone out if they want some tips for improving their game. I'm horribly out of practice from not playing much in the last year and a half or so, but I've been getting back into it lately because there's a brand new pool table in my office building (yay!).

Who's up for a meet at The Spot during the week of Christmas?

I played Amature Pool years back, but I was never good enough to go further with that dream. hahaha. But I love it. I love Darts even more. I say pool & darts are a must to know when going to any bar. We should set something up. I'm sure there are some bad ass pool sharks in here.

Well i'm in the West Shore area, but I'd drive out since I havn't been to any meets yet since i've been on here, which is very lame. But let me know if there are gonna be any meets this weekend. I might be able to roll out there.

He and his cousin Jimmy Fusco are known as two of the best one pocket players ever to come out of Philadelphia. I believe Jimmy used to be the better player, but he's getting older. As for Pete, I know he's played in a few tournaments over the last few years, but he's not really "pro" anymore like the guys you'll watch on tv. He's still a damn good player, and his son Billy is excellent too. There are a couple other local guys that play there that will hustle you out of every dime you have...

i've prolly seen you around, anyway i play too! i got my own cuetech (sp?, its been awhile) a couple years back
Use to play at Club Med over in Harrisburg, and at the place on the pike by riteaid, across from Ye Olde Ale House (and at the ale house for that matter)
if you ever want a game let me know, my friend has a nice table and we go over there every so often to drink a lot and shoot a lil, good times
