I'm feeling ok thanks for asking.
Shoulder and back are a little stiff. I saw him coming in the rearview so tensed up and had no where to go.

don't understate your pain. not your fault he nailed you, if anything on your body hurts at all for any amount of time you deserve reimbursement.

If its not totaled and the structure is fine I think i'd rather rebuild it myself will insurance cut me a check for the damage?
it's definitly totaled, unfortionatly with a hit that bad ( from the looks of it ) you'll have some frame damage, if the frame is so much as dented any good adjuster will write the car off as a total loss. if it's a total loss his insurance will cut you a check for the value of the car, the usually determine the value by pulling the prices and miles of a bunch of the same model and then settling at a middle ground. ANY AFTERMARKET STUFF YOU HAVE, BRING RECEIPTS TO THEM. they will try their hardest to tell you they wont pay for them, but if it comes down to it YOU CAN sue them for the value of whatever they wont reimburse you for ( depreciated value of course ) I had esurance and totaled my car, I got them to give me about half of the purchase price of every aftermarket part I was able to furnish a receipt for.

IF the car isn't declared a total loss they will offer to write off a check, or let you take it somewere to get fixed. Oh, if they declare it a total loss, try to buy the wreckage from them, they're usually pretty resonable about it and you can get a lot of extra money from parting it out.

last but not least, GO TO A DOCTOR NOW. a REAL doctor, they don't have to pay for you to go to a chiropracter for an adjustment because your back hurts, but if you have any real problem expect to get PAID OUT THE ASS. I got 5grand from allstate because my neck was sore after an accident, all I had to do was sign an A&R saying I wouldn't sue for more. make sure you get as much money as you can, believe me, if you have any problem it's going to flare up later and cost you a lot. your body is worth lots of money, make sure you get every penny. from the looks of that damage, you could probably easily go for a police limit settlement ( find out what his limits are, sue for that ammount, get $$$, send some to me )

now, at the same time, if you have no injurys; don't pretend you do. that's the kind of **** that makes everyones rates spike up over fender benders, I just got sued for $50,000 by some ****** that side swiped me over a year ago. i swear to god i'm going to kick his ass some day

ps; hope you're feeling okay, sorry about the car but don't let it get you down, just think of it as a chance to start a new project =p

Good thing too, most companies will drop youi if they find out you cut your bumper beam or replaced it with a thinner(i.e. JDM) one.

That sucks man, I can still remember seeing the pics of the last accident.
