no snowy channels are not pixel issues, channels freeze, i think i radther get cleaner picture and faster internet and deal with customer service issues. (they came out once and replaced my wires and its still poop) than get poopy picture and bad customer service. i could see if i was the only one having these issues but many other relatives i know were too. they switched to satellite and are much happier they even get better porn. also the picture is still clear even in the rain unlike the comcast commercial. I know a couple comcast employees aswell, and they love comcast but thats because they get the service for FREE as for the analog cable thing, thanks for educating me on that , i dont know much about cable wires, but apparently my cable guy does not either since my service sucks

the whole white x thing is retarded.... did you ever think that the box is good and that they just refreshed the box and sent it back out with the white x still on it... our tech's here try to do that crap... we dont give out bad boxes... its that simple. honestly tho i dont think comcast is scared of FIOS yet... its not available in enough areas and we have the complete ability to jump up to their speeds with just a few simple changes. ... do what you will tho... hate comcast... i still get paid.

My house IS BRAND NEW....Just built in January of this year. AND, we used the best grade of cable wiring we could. When this 1st started happening...good ol Comcast was like "It must be your wiring blah blah blah" I'm like ummm this house is not even a year old....BS. SOOOO For the sake of not hearing that again, all the cabling was replaced with brand new stuff again. Still the same problem. Not only my TV, but my internet drops as well. Actually, I just called the assholes last night, and they tell me that for some reason, the call was closed (not by me) and that I have to now open another one, and have another tech come out. Thing is, its already been escalated 3 times to the SRO department, and they saw that in the notes. There is NO POINT in another tech coming out. They can't solve it or figure it out. Every time I call, its a different story. Someone from SRO was suppose to call me I dunno how many times, never does. Now I'm told that I have to start all over with a normal tech today...he can come out and check things out, then escalate it if he needs to....WTF is that BS? Then after all this, they have the balls to actually send me a bill saying I'm late like $50 something dollors. Mind you my bill is over $100 a month. And I haven't paid anything since July. So I called them up and told them that until they fix my problem, I will not and AM NOT going to pay them a cent. And that is our agreement now. So when they stop paying my bill, is when I cancel my service if they don't fix it first. |

hey 4drstunner....what girlfriend.....??? ps- comcast sucks big time, my on demand works when it feels like it and whats worse is that the actual on demand channel will work,I will scan thru all the movies, pick one I want to watch and when I hit the "watch" button, THATS when I get the error message and at that point Im so pissed off I dont even bother to call comcast... if not for DVR I would probably switch to satellite...

Happened in July to me. On Demand and cable modem went out while other channels worked fine.
Tech came out and found the problem to be the line coming into my house. Ran temp line and all was good. Evidently there was a lighting strike in the area and that fried several lines in the neighborhood.

Back in July we finially got comcast too, everything work besides my premium channels being constantly pixelated, my on demand didnt work. I called and set up an appointment (which never showed up because whoever I talked to at comcast didnt put it through i guess), Then i called and set up another appointment. They came out, installed a new box, on demand still didnt work. He went outside and then came back in and told me whatever comcast guy originally installed it did it all wrong. So he "fixed the problem," which i assume was wiring, and my on demand has worked ever since. But we've still had little problems, with dvr and whatnot. And I agree 05GT... bitching gets you a lonnng way. They've paid 2 months worth of the bills so far. A lady at my work was bitching about them too, right around the time i was having all the on demand problems. She had to have comcast come to her house 9 times in under a 2 month period. Finally they somewhat fixed the problems and she said comcast paid her bill for a few months, and now shes locked into a monthly bill of like $50, when normally it would be $1-something. Just keep bitching, lolol

They have a few choices: 1.they completely lose your business bc they wont reimburse you for anything 2. they lose your business with digital cable (80+ a month), and you go back to normal cable (around 40 or 50 a month)... which is 30 or 40 less a month for them 3.or they pay your bill for a few months.. hoping you'll get addicted to digital cable, then by the time you have to start paying your own bill again, you're already hooked and will keep it anyway, dispite all the problems you might still be having. Im assuming comcast hopes by the end of that few month period that they pay your bill, that all the problems might actually be fixed.
