Well tonight went...well, tonight went. It could've gone better. The car felt great. It needs a diff, the one tire fire **** just isn't what I like. The shocks felt awesome. No bouncyness, even on ****ty tires, smooth ride, smooth transitions, etc. I'm pretty happy with that. The bad part is the engine is making some god awful sounds and it could be annything right now, worst case, it's rod knock. I'll know tomorrow. And i'll see if I can find some actions shots as well.

Oh well, if I never broke cars what fun would they be?

Motor carnage, it's bad then? How'd you screw up a 7M, the only weakness in that engine is the headgasket.

Well, since we redid the head gasket, the weakest point seemed to move to either the valvetrain or the rod bearings. Let's hope it's the valvetrain. I don't want to deal with redoing a bottom end now. And I really don't like engines much to begin with.

We pretty much just broke the motor after doing the head gasket. After we did that and got everything together we didn't really run the car until the event last month. I mean we started it up and drove around the neighborhood to make sure things were working right and nothing was leaking. But no daily driving or anything like that.

How can you not love the exhaust.

It'll be a while before it gets painted.

I've been to supramania many times.

Right now the car is just sitting with a spun bearing. We're going to put the supra on the back burner for now becuase my brother doesn't have the money to do what he wants with it. I would like to pull the engine soon and see how bad the bearings are and how bad the crank is to see if we can run this engine again or have to find something new. He is leaning towards a 1j and I don't think it's such a bad idea. So at least we'll have something to do with it in the winter. Since we're holding off working on the engine and getting this thing running again, I'm going to do some more work on the shocks and see what it will take to get the ride height i want out of them. We will be rewiring the car and getting rid of all the extra wires we don't need. We'll finish cleaning things up and finding more places to cut the weight and then hopefully the cage will be going in sometime during the winter.
