One @ fault accident and reckless driving ticket reported to ins. Full coverage(50/100/50) and life ins. 21 Y/O - approx $2,000 (6 Months) with Statefarm. A little high but with Geico and Allstate it was over $3,000

Why the hell are you paying full coverage on a car worth almost nothing (no offense).

No it wont. Making a claim on a car worth $1000 if he crashes it would cost him a LOT more in the long run in insurance premiums than just footing the bill.

I'm 20 with a clear driving record. STI w/ 100,000/300,000 coverage and 500/250 deductable. ONLY 1600 for 6 months. If you have a pretty decent record, Nationwide is REALLY on your side. All other complanies tried charging 3000-4000 for 6 months. When i hit 21 in 3 months it'll be ever cheaper.

I am 19 years old and I pay $72.50 a month, however I have a year plan now so its $870 for a year. Fully covered on everything besides coverage on my car.. its only worth 1K so really no need for that lol. Even if my car isn't anything special.. its cheap on insurance and great on gas. The one thing nice about buying a pos is, you can drop in something special under the hood and have a fast sleeper and still pay the same amount on insurance.

$444 for the Honda Pilot, $381 for the Saturn Ion, with $1k and $500 deductible for comp and collision. The Eclipse is $280 with just liability. This is all for 6 months coverage paid in full up front with limited tort and bare minimums. Also, my wife has a perfect driving record and mine is finally clean. I'm over 30, and married if that makes a difference.

It doesn't make sense to get full coverage on the eclipse considering I don't drive it much. And if it were to get into an accident they would total it quick anyway and probably try to give me just a couple hundred for it. Forget that! I would rather keep it, buy another shell and put the parts into that other car. Or... build a tube frame chasis like I've always dreant about and making it a full blown go-cart, lol.
