That is precisely what I meant. I had to revisit my physics book to make sure I hadn't read it wrong. It just makes no sense, until you do it, and then your like "Holy ish, this actually WORKS?!"

as for target fixation, just remember to look where you want to go and your body/bike will follow.
Yea, it can be difficult if something is in your path though - its a natural tendency to look at the thing in your way as opposed to looking away from it.

lol, i know what you mean. i asked my friend who has been riding for 5 years if he counter-steered. he said wtf are you talking about, that wont work. then we went for a ride through some twisties and afterwards he said, holy ish, i do do that! it definitely helps increase speed through the turns.

Get a bike, you should be ok if you've ridden dirtbikes before. Don't rush into it trying to show off and get too big balls when you start riding though, and don't be embarrassed if you can't stay up with ppl, its about living not showing off.

i got my motorcycle permit about a month ago.. i picked up an old cruiser to start out on just to get the basics on it its a yamaha 650 special edition. not bad for what it is not a high top speed but gets up there quick. hopefully next summer i can pick up a gsxr600 or a cbr. start out on something cheap id say first then move up to something bigger if you drop it your going to hate yourself for spending that much money. and always wear a helmet i cant stand seeing guys ride around with no helmet one slip up and your dead atleast youll have a bit of protection with a helmet.

It is essential you become confident in your riding before anything else. Especially in the twisties. It is a real bad thing to lose your confidence in your lean angle on a sweeper...

I know this isnt what you want to hear but, I have crashed enough bikes to know that you shouldnt start on a 600. Not because you cant handle the power, but because if you make a mistake it happens at 600cc's.

yeah check out gixxer.com, search for starter bikes, even if you get an older 600 they are a little better to crunch up since they dont cost a lot.

Your dad called me and threatened to call the department of labor because you didn't receive a paycheck. I told him that you never worked for revitup. He's lucky that i'm not psycho anymore because he called my personal cell number.

Not very cool if you ask me, but I told him the truth and he seemed surprised by that. If you are going to tell your Dad something, you should have called me and at least given me the heads up.
