How slow is this thing? Is there really any point to go performance at all?

I got a 0-60 in 9.2 seconds. I've driven slower though.

I think I've decided on the first mod. Gonna swap the grill out for a black billet grill.

I think.

It's not terribly expensive if I wind up not liking it.

So I got that grille and a friend of mine had the OEM bungie cords that he gave me for free.

This thing is a great Daily driver but I'm of the mindset that it'll only be a daily driver and once I get the wheels on, I think I may start saving money towards either a 300zx or a 350z, whichever pops up for a better price in a better condition. Something as a weekend fun car and keep the Cube as the DD. Just to finally have the Japanese RWD, manual sports car that I really want, since the Cube is the complete opposite. That may be a bit of a stretch or something that could happen in a few years time, we'll see. It'd be really nice though.

Bought the interior accent kit for 50 bucks (Nissans wants 200 for it) and spent the day painting everything.

I need a junk car with a manual trans first, just to learn to drive it. Kid I work with is thinking about selling his old AW11 MR2 and I was really thinking of buying it but it might be too far gone. I'd like an NA Miata but those seem to be holding value well. Really looking for something in the 1000 dollar range here.

A few updates:

Got an OEM lip from the Nissan Aero/Ginormous package

New wheels last month, waiting for spring.

And added this OEM optional spoiler today.

Dat ass.

I'll be getting the side skirts and rear lip from the Aero kit as well and I'm looking at lowered springs and a Stillen muffler for summertime.

Were you driving on I-81 or the pa turn pike in central pa 2 months ago?
I drove by two white Cube's with the same front grill.

Doubt it, I go to the Stroudsburg area quite often and might've been there 2 months ago but I wasn't really near central PA. Grille swaps are pretty common with Cube owners as the stock is kinda fugly.

haha. There are 3 members online as I'm posting this. I remember the old days when TST often had 30 members online at once.
