I just got a gift from my girl friend to go there so should be there in the next week. My plan is to have a tristate qualifier lap for jan and have a series of races in feb for the fastest tristate gokart racer. Should be fun and have the carts set on a set power level.

If anyone wants to hit up the track in Horsham let me know. It was a good time for me. We did it for my brother's bachelor party, and there was 10 of us on the track at one time which was crowded. I could never get in a clean lap but still was able to run a 20.05 with a bunch of other 20.0x laps. With some other quick guys on the track, or some open track space, I wouldn't have had an issue hitting a few 19.xx laps.

Yeah that's why we usually get there about 6:30-6:45 because it's not that busy and you can get in some quality laps. There are times where you just get screwed anyway. Even had a race where these two asian kids wouldn't let anyone pass and if you did they wouldn't let it happen and spin themselves out since we would have the line causing a big pile up. They made me so mad. lol.

I think Tuesday and Thursdays are also slow nights so you can get clear runs in.

Well, there were 9 or 10 of us in the bachelor party, so we all went on the track together at the same time. I was the designated 'car guy' so everyone was gunning for me and trying to hold me up and not let me pass. It was fun, but honestly, I was the only one out there doing it seriously. I will say this, you will be sore afterwards. I know my left hip was slightly brused from all of the hard right hard turns. I'd like to get on the track with other car guys who know how to drive fast. LIke I said, I never got a clean lap in, I was always trying to set up a pass on every lap.

Can't say I was ever sore, even when they mistakenly had us run our three races consecutively. I was definitely pretty hot when I got done though. lol

I got pretty sore the first time. My neck and back hurt. It is very tiring for those not used to it.

been to the new place in horsham twice so far, and LVGP about 3-4 times. I like the deal on mondays for LVGP, but its a pretty far drive. As far as which place is faster, i guess LVGP takes it here, but in no way is it consistant. The karts there are fast but in horrible condition. Some karts pull one way and have very uneven tire wear, others are obviously faster than others. Speed raceway seems to be on a much more even playing field as far as the karts are concerned, and rewards better driving,

Fastest lap so far on track 1 at speed raceway is 18.776

Ive been there 3 times now and I like the place. I do agree LVGP is better. So far one of the best I have been to is Grand Prix New York..but thats because they have a bar inside of the track haha

They have a bar? Nice. Went there a week or two ago and had a blast. Ended up doing 2, 3 race sesions. Very sore the next day. Definately have to watch who u race with. If someone wipes out everyone is slowed down. We had a guy crashing into everything so it was hard to get a good lap but i managed a 21.27 on the second course which put 9 for the weekly leader board. You earn more rpms the more u race and show that u can handle the cart. We talked the guys into letting us run at the max 4k rpm limit the last two races and the carts were almost too fast and i can see why you should work your way up.

Yea inside is a bar/restaurant. They also do indoor car shows. Heres a shot from one of the BMW shows and the M5

You earn more RPMS the more you race? I didn't know that.
No wonder why the leader board sheet said some people went 2600rpm, twice as fast as I did. One guy got just over 13 seconds fastest lap in track 1according to the leader board. Now it makes sense why.

Yup. I came second to a guy in out group by 3/10 every race cause he had 500 more rpms due to it being his third time there.

They always start you at level 3 unless your friends with the kids working. Seems if you show your capable of running and don't screw around they will turn you up to 4 the second race.

It makes sense how they do it. Fact is, most people aren't used to driving fast go-karts. 99% of the go-karts out there go 5-10mph if you're lucky, so to jump into a kart that does 45mph is a huge jump and foolish for them because now you have everyone hitting each other. But with each race, you accumulate 'experience' and they are able to advance your car based on how well you did at that current setting.
