I was at an EB/Gamestop and the lady said, "It will ship when it is done." This sounds like a Team Fortress/Half-Life2 kinda wait.

I am not reserving mine until 1 week before and I might trade in GT3 for it...

there is no crack for this game yet, so dont bother downloading it anywhere just yet. there are plenty of copies out there that people are saying work, but none of them actually do...
and you'll also need to burn it onto a dual layer dvd for it to work.

oh and of course you will need a modchip to play your legally copied 'backup' of this game....

Oh course! Downloading pirated games for your own personal use is illegal!!!

The only reason to own a mod chip is for backing up your own games so that you don't scratch the origional disc!

Yeah American PS2 in NTSC coded and the overseas is PAL coded. I had this problem when I lived in Germany. They also could get the Japanese version of any game and fast. Yeah that sucks that the game is getting pushed back.

japanese games are ntsc, only european are pal, so thats not the problem. as far as i understand, you CAN use an original gt4 japanese game in a us playstation with a modchip installed.
the problem is that they havent been able to break the new encryption used to be able to make identical copies of the game.

Does anyone want to pass the super tests for me? I only passed 3 or 4 on GT3 but I did get gold on LS in the viper...

I'm as big an Xbox whore as the next guy, possibly more than the next guy...no as much as the next guy, but all the great visuals in the world don't matter when you are driving your simulation with a friggin controller. Come on MS, just buy someone who makes good wheels, then have them make one for your system.

I will let you guys know asap the second we get the game in at circuit city, and if we start selling it early (don't count on it).

If you go to EB during the release day, and you did not pre-order it, I can almost gurantee that Circuit City will have soooooo many in stock, it won't' even be funny. Unless of course, you go to circuit first, then go to eb, and when the counter monkey says "sorry, you should have pre-ordered" you can answer back "oh wait I forgot, I already bought the game for less money, and I didn't have to deal with a condecinding douche who still lives with his parents and enjoys playing magic the gathering." At least, thats what I reccomend, your mileage may vary.

If you havn't had the chance to use the Logitech GT4 force feedback wheel, don't even bother making an excuse not to get it. Seriously, anything you say will be wrong. Buy it. Go ahead, do it now...I'll wait...

Good. Now that we have that out of the way, the bottom line is, there are three potentially great racing sims coming out in a short time period. GT4, Forza, and Enthusia. GT4 will be the first to the punch, and has instant cred baced on past installments from the franchise. Forza has potential, but I really hope the AI and physics are about 200% better in the final version compared to the demo. Enthusia has an uphill battle. It doesn't have the power of the Xbox to simply blow away GT4 visually ( 720p HD > *), it doesn't have the franchise behind it like GT4, and to a lesser extent MS (rally sport challenge owns, and I hear people like Project Gothem). Forza will have online, and the strength of xbox live behind it. It comes out on the same day as Forza as well. The best thing it has going for it, is that it can be played by using the GT4 wheel...but how many people will buy the GT4 wheel and not GT4?

Whether or not people will be inclined to buy this many similar style games in such a short time span is yet to be seen, but the deck is stacked against Enthusia. At least if it were on xbox, I could download it, and tell people how good it is. I don't think I will be inclined to buy more new games for my PS2 in two and a half months than I have in almost 2 years though, and I doubt many will have the time or motivation to play two or three sims at once.
