Darn, he's in custody instead of dead. I'd like 5 minutes alone in a room with this guy.

It's just sad that someone who was a genuinely good person isn't here anymore, yet our government will give this piece of **** chances and try to "fix" and "reform" him. I wish the Death Penalty was brought back.

This... and make it so that the process is done in a reasonable amount of time. Even if you aren't guilty by the time you finish the process your all f'ed in the head from federal prision you can't succede in society anyway.

Also mind you it's our tax dollars feeding and supporting these scumbags while they are in jail.

? Maybe you just keyboard too fast and I'm reading more into this than you actually meant. If not, don't count on my vote when you run for political office.

I think you misunderstood his point. What I got from that was:

Even if he is innocent, by the time he's gone through the entire judicial process, had his trial, and sat in federal prison for the 10 years that the process takes, and then found innocent- hed be no different than the people currently serving time for crimes they did commit. You spend 10 years in federal prison, and are forced to live the life of a convicted criminal... it changes you. Theres no way around that.

Well that was quite an assumption. I wouldn't bring a gun in the room. I'm not interested in shooting this guy.

But if I did, I'd like to see him try to take it. Retention training is a wonderful thing.

I'm not sure what the point of your comment was (maybe you can explain), but it looks like an attempt at making fun of gun ownership and carry (the hoplophobic anti-gun crowd loves the "badguy will shoot you with your own gun" argument - as if only criminals are capable of using firearms) combined with the assumption that this murderer would easily overpower me because I'm physically weak or something.

Add that to the fact that it was all phrased in the form of a "joke" about me being killed by a cold-blooded, murdering scum bag yet you chose to make him the "hero" in your scenario...

If I'm reading too much into this let me know.

You know I just went back and read jp's post again and now it struck me in a different way that doesn't mean what I thought it meant a short while ago...so sorry for my misinterpretation.

Btw, I'm not opposed to the death penalty in certain cases, like this one sounds so far. It just didn't ring true to me to compromise the rights of the general public and innocent people just because we're afraid of the scumbags...now I see that was a misread on my part.

So he's advocating that innocent people have their lives destroyed and be treated just as harshly as actual murderers so when it is finally found out they are innocent of the crimes they've been wrongly accused of they are unable to function in society? and this is a good thing?

No what he is saying is that the process it takes now to execute a PROVEN murderer takes too long. If the evidence supports the crime, in this case it seems to already , then surely you should die in the same or worse manor in which you killed someone and swiftly AFTER the evidence can strongly tie you to the case..

PS This asshat should die.. No excuse about it.
