F**k i forgot

Perhaps its possible to goto a shop and just pay? OBD1 is easier to get away with, with that, than OBD2.

well i feel like with a cat i can pass, because people in other states pass emissions with no cat, but u will fail for the visial inspection for it. i just want somebody thsat knows how to drive of they can just push my car. i will go tomorrow and report back after i have to walk home again

you might get lucky if they dont do a visual, but its so hard to pass without a cat, and even with it if the cars running rich it will fail. with my cams at idle i was 10x the legal limit of HC because of the lumpyness and my tune

I'm bringing the Z for inspection this week (reg'd in NJ). Everything else on the thing is illegal, but has high flow cats and no CEL so it should pass, right? There's no like hidden codes or anything that I need to watch out for..? I've never tried to legally pass one of my cars before, always had to take it some place because of tint and such.

Hey kids, is illuminated airbag light grounds for failure in NJ?

I've got to get the BMW inspected next month and I can't decide if I want to fix the sensor that's turning the light on or just paying for inspection.

its free... just emissions. as stated before i had a nail in a tire, abs, and brake light on all at the same time going through and my dd passed.

just learned something from ^. i had a shop telling me "well if you fail emissions they make you go to a certified tech" < is false you have the choice of doing it yourself or taking it there.

Yeah you do not need a certified tech , after I failed and went back , just put on the sheet self repaired...

That makes things easy.

Also, I know inspection is free, unless you take it to a 'private' facility, which was what I was considering should they fail me for the airbag light.

PASSED! If a dsm with no EGR, no EVAP, no pcv, etc etc can pass im sure any obd1 car can pass with a cat. BTW my front tires are down to the threads so they def dont look at that ****. My AFR was around 14.8-15.2 i bumped up the idle to 1300-1400 so the car wouldn't stall or do anything funny. They popped my hood i thought they were investigating some stuff but the guy just put some box into the engine bay i dont even know what it was for, maybe to sense RPMs.

Hey,

I can't send a PM or any emails until I have 10 posts. I will need the name of this shop as well.

Thanks.
