see i coulda done this to my lancer but i figured the whole swapp would cost me about 8.5k all together if i did it with some local gear head friends and my self. the swap is preety easy as long as you know what your doing. Your friend is right though the AWD swapp is almost impossible on this car and the us model lancer not only because you will have to re fab the whole back half of the cars floor and swing/sway arms and suspension but you also will have to go back and make more supports on the frame like cross braces and things of that sort. also i heard that you would have to ad more spot welds to the frame like they do when manufactoring the evo. Now im just trying to figure out how similar the swap is with the galant and the lancer. Did he Use the 3g eclipse tranny? what one did he use? also how many more motor and tranny mounts did he have to use with the galant?

Yes, he did use the 3G tranny...but as you all the know the 8G Galant and the 3G Eclipse is the same car, just different body styles. I'll have to ask him about the motor mounts

How many of them were done AWD? I'd rock one of those.

alot of people said my boy was crazy to do this swap into his Galant, but he has done it once, and now he is doing it himself, because the shop that helped him last time, messed it up...i think it's wild that he has to use a laptop to start his car...
