92sileighty: Right now I can't take on any more work. I'm extremly packed. I can do the car once I get caught up, Though.

Mx931: I'd sell the car out right, But don't know a price.

The car kbbs for a bit over 12k stock.

I spent:

$4,xxx on subaru 06' body panels through subaru (Have reciept)
$1,000 - clutch/flywheel
$-500 fuel system
$-1200 tuning system
$-400 brakes/rotors
$-1,000 exhaust
$-1,000 used gold BBS wheels
$-gauges/wideband/pod - $400
$-4,000 on longblock
$-1,500 on turbo

Right now as it sits there is over $15,000 into the car with alot left out in the list above that I just need to go through the reciepts for quick. To build a car using good parts it adds up quickly. As you can see, It's quite easy to blow close to 20k in parts, within a weeks time. If I were to put a price on this car when it's finished, I honestly don't even know what I would ask for it. I still need to spend another few thousand dollars on the left over stuff I want to do to the car, Aswell. I know you never get back what you put into the car, But I'm open to all offers. I planned to just keep the car and daily drive it as a safe/reliable car to transport my almost 6 month old daughter in during the day so we can get out and go places without any worries.

Car is getting alot more. I will need to update the pictures, But I've been really sick since sunday so I haven't even gone to the garage yesterday or today.

Thank you very much! Im installing the engine tomorrow evening along with trimming the front bumper for the huge perrin fmic. I will more then limly color match the ic pipes and do a wire tuck in the next few days.

I have another one in the other side of my garage getting a full ground up build aswell from a bare unroling shell. That is now a roller and is getting prepped tomorrow night for a full color change aswell.

Other then that im building a bunch of dsm's and one huge ground up Dsm build. And finishing up another subaru I just sold and installing engine etc in that this week. Always staying busy at the garage ha ha!!

Wow, you are really moving ahead with this car.

I gotta say though, I don't understand the point of this. Dump a bunch of money into a car that you have almost identical examples of and you don't need.
Granted it isn't my money and I'm not trying to say don't do it, I just don't get it.

Why not just fix up the car a bit and re-sell it and make a bit of money instead of dumping all of this money converting the front end and swapping in an STi block. Right now it seems like a waste of money from an outside point of view.

Whatever the reasoning is behind all of this I say go and have fun and I'll be following this. Looks like a good solid build

Thank you for the comments, And the post.

I get asked that question all the time about what I buy or build. I honestly don't really have an answer, Though. I usually just buy then do a build, On what ever I decide to buy/build when it comes to my mind. That is the reason why I have had so many different cars, And have done multiple builds on each car... Only to sell them when finished, And start over on something else. I enjoy building a car and seeing it transform, More then I enjoy driving the car when finished. As it's nearing completion, I start to lose interest and need a fresh 'canvas'. I useto try to stretch out a build as long as I could, But it just kept going faster and faster each build. Now with doing a full build in under a month, It seems that I just really lose interest way to fast either way (Weather it take to long to finish, Or get done way to fast).

There is no reason behind anything done to this car, In this thread. I always heard people talking about body conversions on their subaru but never really seen pictures ETC of a bunch of them being done, So I figured why not. As for the color, I could have done any color but I love the way subaru's look in white (Or really any car for that matter).

When I sell the car, I'll sell it for what ever someone can afford. I do not ask top dollar for anything I sell, Like most. I'll end up selling this car for well under $15k completly finished I'm sure of it.

Do you do freelance jobs or are all of these vehicles yours personally? Also, if you wouldn't mind pm'ing me what you would typically charge for a respray with minor body work (not on any schedule to get it done, just sort of looking around), if you would even do something like that.

That's the idea I'm going for,Ha ha! Everyone that stops up gets confused because I have a few of my subaru's around, And I still have my 06 sti there, They just don't recognize it right now ;)

Got the engine in last nite. Didn't even think to take a picture of it in, but I'll get some pics tonight. clutch, flywheel, engine, trans, turbo are all in as of last nite. Fmic on, bumper trimmed, Headlights completly re-wired to the 04' harness, And working fine. Only thing left is install the IC piping!

Hood is up in the pics, and the bumper isn't bolted up completly.

Thank you for all the positive comments, I greatly appreciate them all.

Sunday bikes: They are my cars. I do , Do other peoples cars though for people who can't do it themselves and need the help. As for a paint job. I charge a bit more then 1k for a full color change to any color, And under 1k for a re-spray of the same color (Or any color, Just not doing the jams/bay), Using good paint and materials'.

My $2,500+ compressor broke the other nite while spraying this car. Not sure how, But I got a temp borrowed one so I was able to finish the car. I need to go buy a new one this week and get it down in the basement at the garage and get the old one out.

Here's part of the other side of the garage that I rarely post pictures of. Left one is getting a motor/ETC installed. Right one is a full ground up build that is now a roller. Engine bay is prepped and sealed as of last nite and should be completly ready for paint within the next week.

tjmhillz: I'm very sorry but unfortunatly I am not looking to trade the car.

Installing new non-recinables' within the next few days, and an sti gauge cluster, 05+ hvac controls/console ETC, And an sti interior (Door cards, carpet, rear seat).

Jesse,

I do all my builds alone, And always have. From start to finish.

As for this car, I actually just started bringing someone around that comes to the garage everynite, For hands on experience and wants to learn alot. I am willing to teach anyone, If they are going to show up and not waste my time, Or be completly clueless and not willing to learn. So far I had him pull 3 motors, Install 2, Teaching him how to paint, ETC.

On the cars I work on for other people, Or the builds I do to sell, I do them from start to finish alone, Though. I usually work alot faster that way and can do a complete ground up build from start to finish well under a month from an un-rolling car to a complete mint running car.I

Khellen: thank you very much! I can't wait to drive it within the next day or so when im done with it.

I gotta give you props man, you must be a workaholic... to be working on so many cars at the same time AND have such a short turn around time! I'd love to come by sometime during the summer and see the shop man.

Just got home (Almost 4am), Since 6pm last nite. Long late nights monday through friday at the garage.

Good news is I got a ton of work done there tonight, Including jamming another subaru being built at my garage from the ground up. I may also start a build thread for that, As that one is a very very extensive build. I also have another one that is being built also. Alot going on, Hard to keep track. Thankfully I have the space up there inside for these cars!

The subaru that is in this thread , I did the first start up on aswell. The car runs great. I'm uploading the start-up video right now, But it's going to be a bit until it's done loading.

Here is the first start up video. Not the best. I'm uploading another one now. The car is very loud so the sound quality on this one was very very hard to capture.
