This thread made my day as a DSM fanatic. You're pretty much my hero for saving so many DSM's and turning them into sweet cars. I love the burnt orange car. I know I saw it as someone's avatar on DSMtuners. Did you sell it? Anyway I'm incredibly jealous that you can do that in 2 weeks or less. On another note, do you ever paint cars for other people? I'm planning on repainting mine, but I won't have the time until next summer and I've never painted anything as large as a car before. I would more then happily pay you to paint it for me (in that sick orange color) assuming it would be cheaper then a shop.

I have a facebook I just made the other day, With a ton of pics of the cars and all, Being I did not want to flood the thread with the entire beginning to end process. I dont know how to use facebook so forgive me, But here is the link (I think?) http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000733826447

Thank you very much everyone. I'm glad you all like the pics/transformations. I have alot more, But it's hard to organize them all and then post them all because it takes a long time. I will post more today hopefully, And I will post some up of the bone stock srt4 I bought from a dealership, And built 4 different times/setups, to 600fwhp. I will also post up my 06' sti that I bought stock from a dealership, And did 2 different high hp builds on. On my own personal cars that I keep, I always seem to constantly tear them right back down as soon as they are finished, So I always have thousands of pics from multiple builds.

I built the srt4 , four times in 1 year, With a new built longblock, and new setup every time. I drove the car about 2,000 miles in the year I owned it, Got sick of it being there weren't anything else to tear down and build after doing it 4 different times, So I sold it. That's when I bought the sti as a bone stock daily driver to get out of modding cars. That lasted 1-2 weeks before it made almost 500awhp on the stock motor/drivetrain. ha ha!

Thank you ! You are right, They are definatly very hard to find in good condition now. All them I get either need paint or body work, Or just completly do not run and have been neglected by young teenage kids who cheap out and have no idea how to work on one. Which then, They sell and give it the rep "dsm's are so un-reliable".

I can/would do any car, But I don't know of many other cars that are awd, or turbo, That would sell when I'm done with them. I know honda's would sell, But then again, I know my garage would be the number one target in the area and I guarntee that it would get robbed/cars stolen within a week after getting some.

That's an interesting route for that last 1G piping. Did it go through the stock location?

That pic was a bit old. I bought that uicp setup through SBR, Back in the day. It was made for a stock location smic, but I just routed extra piping to the fmic I had on the car.

Usually between 5-6k completly finished. I never charged more then 6k. As I'm sure you know, Most shops charge a few thousand for a good color change alone, Plus buying the actual car, Then all the mods, You're looking at double, Anywhere else. I'm doing a few now, So I'll hafto upload the pictures. I did not want to until they were finished so I have both the before and the after pics, But I will get them up either way along with all the other pics I mentioned above.

Thanks PrideNas!!

Thanks 16gDSM. If you are ever in Hazleton, You can stop by at any time. I'm there every day usually. There is alot more to the garage, But I never really posted too many pics of it. I have a few pics floating around, But I don't post much of the rest of the garage. It's a bit larger then in the pics and there are a few little ''nice add-ons'' that alot of ''normal'' garages. I never looked at it as anything out of the ordinary because I'm so useto it now and I always see the next guy with a much bigger/better garage wishing it were me.

This thread seriously makes me wanna go DSM...

I know they have gotten a bad rep, but like you said, that's the fault of the previous owner(s) cutting corners, not the actual car itself.

How do the cars you build hold up? Like reliability wise. Overall, the cars you build look spectacular, the upgrades listed make's me assume they're all pretty damn fast, and they are relatively affordable.

If my new job's paychecks allow me to stash a few grand, you might be getting a pm ;)

Thanks everyone, I will try to get some more pics organized today.

As for how they hold up , They are fine when I have them, But depending on the buyer, It could go either way good or bad. I've sold cars with no problems at all, And I've sold cars to 16 year old kids who show up with their parents, And within days they are calling me saying the car blew up or is broke down. I've also already about a 1-2 cars back from young kids I sold to, Who neglected them within a month of owning them. I then just do the same thing over again, Build it back up, Then sell it.

I spent a month on a car and had it perfect. It made the almost 300 mile trip back to the persons home, And that nite he called me asking how to install an boost controller. I advised against it, And the next day his mother called me saying the car needs a headgasket or something was going on with it, And completly denighing the fact that her son called the nite before asking how to turn the boost up. It's very aggravating but you have both good and bad selling cars, Depending on the buyers.

92accordex: Sure ha ha... I do complete color changes to ANY color on my friends cars for $400-500 including all materials and paint/supplies. You can do that math on that one!

JDM215: I could do anything you ever needed. And yes, I have alot of time on my hands ha ha. I am at the garage every day doing a build.
