I was actually really shocked how good it sounded without the exhaust on. The GTO sounded like **** when I took the catback off and tested it just for kicks. FYI, these are the same JBA mufflers that were on my GTO so I'm hoping they still sound badass on the Mustang. If not, I can always sell them.

im really contemplating electronic cutouts on the srt8.

what do you mean, "no exhaust"

i been tempted to grab a set of 90 degree exhaust pipes to angle the exhaust from the long tubes 45 degrees to the ground. i'm concerned about fires though haha. i would expect at that point i may be shooting flames...

I don't know how the SRTs sound with them, but they are always fun to use at WOT! Just do them as far back on the exhaust as you can.

My exhaust ends right after the cats. Because of it I have a drone under 2000RPM though. The exhaust def needs to exit the rear. I thought about doing straight pipes and that would work great for now... but when I do long tubes I'm sure I'll want some muffler back there... and I've always been partial to the sound of JBA mufflers with an H pipe. I found a set on CL for $120 with SS tips and I can pass up that deal since I can always sell them and never lose money.

I'm not sure if there would be fires or not... can't be all tha different then running electric cutouts right?

If you like it go for it! My experiences with exhausts ended right under the driver seat is drone and overly loud in the cabin. A bit further back and you still get the good sound outside wittout all the headache of the cabin being unbearable.

I didnt even take that into consideration. My car drones under load between 1250-1500 rpm. makes me want to punch babies.

It is amazing how simple people I work with are. Nobody here has the ability to think on their own and solve simple/small problems without starting these huge email chains that just waste everyone time.
