The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire is pretty sweet... its worth the day trip. Try to find coupons online or elsewhere ahead of time to save a few bucks on tickets.

There are other faires with similar names but this one is the real deal, just don't want anyone to confuse it with other smaller events.

I then reminded him that I worked on electronics for 8 years in the military, and that I'm almost 30. I also reminded him about the age descrimination rules we have here. He told me "thats only there to protect us older folks from you young idiots, not the other way round."

I face palmed, and so did my supervisor.

And to belive there are idiots who think like that in the union.

I would take that comment to HR. Nothing more satisfing then getting a union guy canned.

You can take it to HR, but it will probably be buried somewhere when it hits higher ups in the union.

Sean, are you union?

I'm staying slightly behind so they don't give that dumb chicks work to me while everyone else gets an easy ride. So far its working. Somehow my boss is just letter her work just pile and pile.

Jim is right, that or it would be taken to arbitration, then I wouldn't be able to afford the lawyer fees

nope, not in a union either. Don't feel like paying a monthly due.

If anything would happen, the union guy would get promoted. I've seen it happen before. Easier and cheaper to promote someone and move them to a different shop then it is to punish or fire the guy.

I'm about to take my 13 year old nephew camera shopping... he asked me about DSLRs and said he's interested in getting into it. Thats pretty sweet... so hopefully I can start him off on the right path and he sticks with it. We're headed to Israel in December so that would be a great place to shoot if he can learn the basics before then.

He's also trying to start screen printing t-shirts for friends at school, so there's another cool project. I used to love screen printing.
