i agree with grimm. especially since some people here rely on their work to make a living...using myself for an example, i shoot for a newspaper, so anything i shoot while on a job with them is technically the papers property. if someone wants a print of the image, they have to go through the paper and pay for a copy. if my images arent watermarked it would be very easy for someone to use my images when they should be paying the paper for it

Anyone can edit anything out. Its like a lock on a door. Its meant to slow down or hinder most people from stealing the pictures/ breaking in, but if they really want to, they can still steal it.

No I haven't, and I used to copyright the **** out of my pictures until I noticed how awful it looked. If someone wants to steal a picture, they'll get it either way. Regardless of copyright. Well, anyway.
