Whats up. My iPhone was completely toast, got very wet. Dried it out in some rice and it wouldn't turn on unless it was plugged in and then it would only boot to itunes restore and that failed because it couldn't read the imei number or serial. Did some googling and found out water almost always kills the battery, so I took it apart and measured 0v on the contacts. So I took marina's phone apart and tried my logic board with her battery and sure as **** it worked, so I went out and bought a new battery last night from a phone fixing place and viola, I have a phone again....

But the top (lock) switch doesn't work, wifi chip is completely and totally dead and the 3g is flaky and will sometimes restart itself. I can live with all of those things because it basically works fine.

I have a new car project I might take on. 1979 Caprice Station Wagon rolling chassis for $200. If the interior isn't ****, I'll drop a 5.3 ls motor in and slap a turbo on. It'll be a true junkyard project. Motors can go easily for $350.

I actually wanna build a 5.3 as a backup for mine. I would love to spray the piss out of an iron block.

The 5.3L truck blocks are basically interchangable. It would work great as a coffee table... heavy as well since its an iron block though

I have 4 big block ford pistons lying around that I was thinking of building some furniture out of. Perhaps the four corners of a small table, maybe the feet of a couch.

Have off work on a Friday night for a change. Girlfriend works overnight and friends just want to go drinking.

So this car looks like it's going to need quite a bit of work. He his only asking $200, so if it sits there, I can sell it at another point and probably get my money back.

Anthony took a loot at it for me since it's a little closer to him. He says the bosy is rough and some of the interior will need to be replaced. He said a good drag car, but not sure about street car. He even said it has a luggage rack. Perfect family car haha.

That's the only problem. I want a project car, but this might be a little too rough. I'm going to look at it this upcoming weekend. For me, looks don't matter as much as the performance aspect the car will get.

Although Heather did say she would rather me spend a little more and get something a little nicer. Rollers are hard to come by for a couple hundred bucks.

I really looked into a project car awhile back. I gave up on the idea as I couldn't figure out how much it was gonna cost and just couldn't get myself to start a huge project to find out I went over budget in the long run.

Being I can't weld or know much about body work it was an expense I couldn't do.

If you just wanna race, def cheaper to buy something newer and just build it up. Plenty of R title cars out there for cheap to give you a great starting point. Hell, if its track only you could even get a salvage title.

That's what I'm researching right now Jay. I'm honestly just thinking, a little bondo, some spray paint, and let's have fun. Maybe just paint it primer. Has wood paneling but my buddy told me it has to go because it doesn't look good.
