And rob, it's always good to learn about the market. I do more than enough with it that I know what gmac's rates our, how our portfolio is doing vs. every other small or large mortgage lenders/brokers in the country and a million other things about loan types and changes in guidelines that are in effect or coming up that I never dreamed of wanting to know. I've been here for 4 years. My moms been here for 30. The changes are crazy in what she saw when she started and what's going on behind just buying and selling now.

Im not trying to look older,but when i talk to customers about their cars and options about what to do,they really dont want to listen someone who looks like theyre 16 because they figure they have no knowledge.

That's where you have the wrong logic, if you know what you're talking about, they'll listen regardless. If you come off as a kid who has as much knowledge as a 16 year old would, then thats where your struggle starts. My manager actually prefers that I explain some of the stuff to customers here because I'm better at giving references and explaining fully to help people understand. Self confidence son. I has a lot of it.

Well the next oldest guy who actually knows what hes talking about is 25,im only 19 until august,so they usually want to talk about serious things with people who have been in the business longer,which i can understand,but its taking away my $. If i was a service writer,it'd be another story.

Eh its just annoying,i talked to my manager about becoming a writer and im going to be one tonight during my shift. I learned how to do most of the system myself just by observing over time,but there are a few things i still need to learn. Im tired of getting butt plugged in the shop with 100000000000000 different policies that change every week.
