they never checked my ID (buying a gun they will). All the accessories and magazines are on the shelves, you just take them to the registers, pay, go home and enjoy. I'm not positive though, I would call and check before going.

Nope. Buying a mag or ammo is the same as buying a pack of gum... just the way it should be . Legality of possessing an item in your home state is your own responsibility. i.e. -- you can buy a box of hollow point ammunition and a 33rd mag at Cabela's in PA, but the moment you cross the border into NJ you are breaking the law. The only item that's restricted to buyers from out of state is a firearm. You can buy a gun but you can't take it home with you. You need to buy it and then they'll ship it to a FFL dealer in your home state.

Thanks the cell pics make it look like crap. If I'm feeling adventurous today I'll bust out the good camera and snap some pics. I was going to do the entire mag (numbers for round indicators) but I like just the caliper and Glock symbol better. I don't need to know how many rounds it holds...just that I'm grabbing the right caliper mag in the middle of the night .

Not trying to be a copycat here, but I really like the look of the colored mags..

having a hard time picking the right crayon that would look good against my silver mags though...

Any suggestions?

your from NJ right? I would seriously SERIOUSLY discourage you from even talking about buying hi-cap mags if they are not allowed in jersey... that is the worst state to be a gun enthusiast in, im scared to go to the beach there on the outside chance i dropped a HP or something in my car without realizing it.

I was wondering if you guys could help me out when i was 14 my dad passed down his Marlin Original Golden 39A and was trying to figure out how much they go for to see if i could sell and possibly pick up a new toy, ive seen them online from 300-600 dollars is this actually the fair price one these? It was my dads first gun when he was 14 i tried finding the manufactured date by putting the serial into marlins website but it wont come up because it is out of the date range stored in their database.... Im guessing 1975 due to reading somewhere you take the first two numbers and subtract from 2000? (although that doesnt seem right)

Its in great shape though no rust, wood is in great shape too

It looks exactly like this one (the one i have is in better condition)

Right now I am not too much into guns but when I turn 21 I want to get my pistol permit. But I know somewhat about guns my dad has Winchester 30-30 lever action and for Christmas I bought him a 1944 k98 German Mauser.

Why would you wanna sell that? It's a great gun and something passed down to you? Hell I don't talk to my father anymore but I would have kept anything he passed down. Especially a gun like that.

Question...what did you do about the dry spots left from the crayon? It's hard to see in my pics but there are little circles of dry spots from where some of the wax is still left over. No matter how much I rub my microfiber across it or my silicone rag I can still see them. Any suggestions?

I probably wouldnt sell it for the simple fact it was passed down to me and that something i could hold on to and pass down too, i just never looked into what it was until now, hell for the longest time i didnt even know who made it until i took it out and gave it a nice cleaning

I was just talking to him about it and he said he got it when he was 12 so it has to be before 1975 manufactured date, i wish i could figure out more with the serial but cant seem to have any luck

Ill snap some pics of it tonight, im sure you guys can appreciate the condition of this classic

and munky maybe try some alcohol

Edit: hard finding crayons in your house when your 21 haha
