Sure. My welder isnt super powerful though so I dont know how the penetration would be. But Id be down to drink some beers and give it a shot. Worst case scenario, you learn how to weld. lol

Proper hydration is the key to a good weld.

Both of you guys can shoot me a PM. Im around weekdays after 4:30, and weekends. My welder is a 110v fluxcore, but its a pretty decent welder for being as small as it is. Ive welded up to 1/8" with good penetration. Exhaust/body work is no problem at all. 3/16" might be pushing it, but im down to give it a shot.

Either way, it will weld it and it will be strong. Just no guarentee's HOW strong until we give it a try.

i'll probably be getting in touch with you, if not for this, for some body repair, rust removal.

i work in a metal fabrication shop. those parts are too difficult but you do have to cup the smaller tubes (3 on the bottom of each rail) to fit the rail.

I wouldn't mind if it was box tube but i imagine that is more expensive as a material, but easier to weld.

i dont think its more expensive. i dont really order extruded shapes too much as we mainly work out of flat sheets and build everything by hand. Theres a few places around here that would probably carry what you need in all different gauges and sizes. Check out Ryerson or Phoenix Metals
