I'll see what my brother did to his, I know he was messing with it. Also, my fuel gauge was sitting above the red mark so I put in about 12 gallons of fuel and it only goes to half. Is that a bad sender or it just needs cleaning? I ordered a new tank seal so I'll try cleaning it.

The senders usually just fail like that - my '95 530i does that and my sister drivers it by reseting trip odometer.

OP - How much boost are you going to eventually run? How will the stock rods and pistons hold up to that kind of power?

Gotcha. I was under the impression it was all stock since this was posted on the first page. Nevermind then.

so after some digging up of pics of your turbo on the first page i wanted to see how mine compared. looks like my compressor and exhaust housings are actually exactly the same as yours except i has no anti surge, and i'm rocking smaller wheels on both sides (67mm comp wheel and 65mm ex wheel).
so... got any extra 3" v-band to 4" adapters around? saw a pic of one on the first page, if you didnt use it or you can let me know where to get one (ATP?) please do tell...

The housing flanges should be the same but the 67 doesnt come with the "H" housing, as its only available over 71mm i believe. But yeah, I am using a 3-4" transition from ATP. I welded the vband on it

Here is what I do know about my turbo:
-full name of the turbo is a PT6765H
-compressor housing is a new offering for this turbo
-exhaust wheel has been revised to be more efficient (revised p-trim, now called 65)
-it looks a lot like yours (4" in, 3" out .75 A/R compressor housing, T4 with 3" vband and .81 A/R turbine housing)

but yeah who knows... so many different configurations out there. I was just surprised at how large the housing looks on my turbo, which is when I looked yours up. do you happen to know if precision makes divided t4 housings? i think i heard they didnt...

Did you get the 3-4 adapter and just weld it to 4" piping to make your exhaust, or are you saying you put a 4" vband on the end of the adapter so it is a seperate piece?

this guy...

Yeah I am not sure the housing is the same exactly - I don't think they offer the one you have in a ported, I think the one I have is physically larger but I am not sure.

The 3-4" I bought had no v-band flange on it at all so I put one on it. So yeah what you've got pictured there is what you want.

sostock, can you make me the dipstick? Do I need to bring you my stock dipstick to put the new end on? I want a polished spike like yours, just a little smaller.
