Thanks Dave. It's a tiny crossover that's just a blast to drive. This thing will surprise people once it is tuned with a few more mods. Plus it is different. I dig different.

As of right now I am. I doubt I am going to Paramus though (I might who knows). Kind of stupid for me to drive north up the parkway only to drive back down south lol.

And yea in stock form, it does not feel like anything spectacular, especially when compared to my Z31. It doesn't help that everything stock on the car is holding it back.

Cool little truck, but unfortunately they aren't approved by the SCCA for autox in any level of modification.

You can try autoxing it with one of the other clubs like PCA, MSNE, or BMW CCA. I'm not sure if those clubs have made a ruling on them. I feel like they would be pretty lax about it from some things I've seen with their organizations in the past.

I've been to a MSNE where a Ford Lightning was on course, so I think he may be able to slide by here at the Meadowlands. (Run by said MSNE)

They are not that high. I don't see me having any issues with it, especially if I lower it.

I saw a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT at an autox that was being held at either a NOPI or HIN event about 2 years ago in E-town, NJ. It was set up next to the drag strips. That Jeep did a very good job around the cones.

A Ford Lightning is different. We've had a Dodge 3400 Dually on course. The vehicle has to be wider than taller. And like I said, PCA, MSNE, and BMW CCA are usually more lax on the rules, so you might get by there.

I'm not saying you personally would have issues with it while driving, but there are formulas the SCCA uses to determine if a vehicle meets their safety guidelines for autox. I know the Juke is ineligible for stock class competition with the SCCA per the March Fastrack. I haven't seen anything about higher prep levels. http://scca.cdn.racersites.com/prod/...march-solo.pdf

I know there was a guy with a Mini Cooper Clubman who wasn't allowed to race in last Sunday's autox in Philly for the same reasons. http://www.phillyscca.com/forum/view...php?f=8&t=7438

Yea exactly, though a Jeep Auto Xing is kind of strange to be honest but I have seen some stranger things lol.

I compare the Juke to a Subaru Forester (which I see Auto X a lot, and is built on an Impreza platform). The Juke is actually about 12 inches SHORTER in length, 4 or so inches shorter in height, width is only about a one inch difference, and the Juke weighs less (well my FWD Juke does anyway). Why I couldn't Auto X it is beyond me.

Width 1,765 mm (69.5 in)
Height 1,570 mm (61.8 in)

I only plan to Auto X it at the Meadowlands anyway. Thank for all the info though, I'll keep it mind down the road.

the same thing is being said about the new Chevy Sonic but it says on chevy.com that is actually wider than it is tall.... so it should be eligible.

68.3" width
59.7" height

I guess I will see when I finally bring it to an event.

Waiting to hear back on some prices for an Injen Catback, 2nd cat delete pipe, and SRI.
Also went wheel shopping yesterday and found my future setup. Once my friend pays me for the Z31, the Juke will be sitting on some Silver Work Emotion XD-9s 17x8.5 +42 wrapped in 235/55 Falken FK-452s with Work blue RS-R lug nuts. Will definitely be the nicest wheel setup I ever bought.

I haven't heard anything about the Sonic yet. Seems like one of those egg-shaped rollover prone cars. I know there was a rollover incident with a Focus hatch a few years ago.

Most of the borderline vehicles should be eligible with suspension work (Very few exceptions like Scion xB). Width vs Height is just the formula at it's simplest form. If a car is close to the width vs height issue, they'll look at other stuff. I believe they also take government rollover ratings into consideration for borderline vehicles. For example, the Fiat 500 is ineligible for stock, but the 500 Abarth is allowed to run stock. Modifications that stock classes allow for (r-comps) can make a vehicle more rollover prone.

I'd just hate for someone to show up with an ineligible stock vehicle and be turned away and turned off to the sport.

Yep. Only care about the Front fascia/grill and the wing. Performance wise, the engine will be lucky to see a 25hp increase. Looks great, but won't be worth the 5-7k price increase, like most Nismo branded Nissans lol.

The Torque vectoring of the AWD models are really nice, but the drive train loss and lack of 6MT is just disappointing. Also the after market seems bigger for FWD models.
