Wholesale cost on the 912 was like 64 a tire and shipping so roughly 250 (new tires too btw)

Talked to my friend, he said the fenders are rolled and pulled, said it looks good but I won't see it till tomorrow morning

He also said he scanned my ECU with the diagnostic tool, there was a code in there for a bad air intake temp sensor. He measured resistance on it, said there's nothing so that probbably needs to get replaced. Said he's poking around the bay checking out other things, which I am all for. Just wish I could see my fenders, might roll by the shop tonight after work and see if he left the car outside and try to get a sneak peek at it.

edit: yes alignment has to add to that list, just gonna have to wait a week or two till I get paid...I have money set aside but its for parts for fixing the car (whatever may be broken) and I don't want to dip into them till the car is repaired and making proper power again, the wheels were bought from a seperate fund.

Yes I do find it hard to believe. They must be some cheap ass tires.

Discount Tire sells them for $83 a piece...doesn't matter, people like them, I've heard good things, and they were cheap. At the end of the day it's still a quality product.

Ok that's cool, I just thought you'd be putting more of a performance tire set on the car.

Nah, there's really nothing functional about this setup, I just like the look and wanted to have it on my car so I basically got less expensive parts that still had decent reviews. Raceland took good care of me, and though eventually I'll be on BC coils, I can honestly say their coils have held up thus far after philly roads and still seem alright, they aren't the best riding suspension but I'll run them till they all leak dry. The wheels are cheap, I only got them cause their lines complement the car (rounded spokes, rounded car), they have a 3.5" lip, and they are the same weight as my current ones so I'm not really making things too much worse. The tires I picked cause I wanted something that would last me a long time, and since these are non directional, I can rotate them better to get more miles out of them.

At the end of the day, it's all looks, but with the height, tire sizing, and fender pull, I hope to have a car that looks magazine worthy, but that I can still drive day to day, rain, shine, or even snow, without worrying about rubbing my fenders or cuting tires...bottoming out is another story haha

It's a lot to ask for considering I've spent barely over 1000 for coils, wheels, tires, roll/pull, everything, but we'll see how it plays out. Definately glad my friend let me test fit that 002 and gave me great pricing on parts and labor, otherwise I would have been installing spacers right now. The 0 offset was definately worth it.

My stance should be very similar to this, wheel to fender gap wise, maybe a tad lower.

edit: this car actually looks a tad higher than mine, at least from what I can tell on the sides, my pinch rail seems lower than his skirt. To be completely honest I have such a cluster**** in my head of tire sizes and stances I don't even want to think about it anymore, just want the car done and praying it comes out like I want it to. My friend said he pulled all 4 corners a bit, not sure how that's all gonna come into play together.

Proud of you Alex!

Seems like you are making good progress my man. Glad you converted to my 0 offset preaching! I have great hopes for this car to be very cool. Sounds like you found the culprit for the car running wierd. Happy for you dude.

P.S. no body kit!

I dunno if that one sensor can do that much damage, and there was a CEL in there stored for it, but I didn't have it for like 3 months while the car was still broke, I think it just went out afterwards. They are checking more stuff as we speak.

Saw the pull this morning, looked good, fenders rolled nicely, no cracks or anything. Gonna pick it up after work.

i like it i like it dont get my wrong but it kinda looks funny with so much poke and no sideskirts, and how much further it sticks out from your front bumper....

I do like it a lot better then the bbs though...maybe better pics or seeing it in person would seal the deal for me haha

Good stuff Alex

Edit: the more i look at it the more boss it looks...

Post up real pictures later man...i hope i see this car in person one day soon

needs a straight on pic.. from the front of the bumper. but then again the bumper kinda curves in so it does kinda give an akward look in the front.

I know some guys run little diffusers in front of the front wheels, the curvature of the bumper is just design, my BBS poked out of it too, as do stock 14s on NA Miatas with their bumpers. Gives it a wide look.
