Yep. It is a Wed.... and F' you gas prices. $3.88 is not acceptable. Where is the govt when you need them. Your telling me they can't release some of the 'reserves' to help subsidize prices for a short period of time?

i have been doing some research on this topic in the past few weeks. after looking at most data available, oil supplies have not gone down. the output from all the major producers (saudi arabia, nigeria, venezuela, etc) are still at levels prior to the uprising in libiya. the price has gone up because the "free market" has pushed up the prices thinking that there will be a disruptions in supply.

oil companies in the usa who get most if not all of the oil we consume from venezuela, mexico, canada, and domestic sources have not had any disruptions. they have raised gas prices because all of the, the USA driving public, has absorbed the price hikes and not slowed down our demand. if we are willing to pay $4 a gallon, the prices are going to stay this high.

I honestly can't figure out why the govt stepped in with all this financial and health care reform but aren't touching issues with oil prices. NO OTHER retail changes their prices daily, or several times a day.

Hasn't the value of the dollar gone down as well? I can't imagine that's helping for trying to purchase what we need.
