edit: Another team is working on your car now. Gonna start pulling the dash out. These dash rattles suck!!!

haha yea. I knew it was your car when I saw tristatetuners.com stickers on it. I acutally took a pic for you to see how big of a job it is. The guy that worked on yours is one of the best, he goes above and beyond to make sure it won't rattle. I was busy and wasn't paying attention to it after a while, did they do brakes too? I saw you said heavy dust on the front wheels.

If the intake cam is off by one tooth its not that hard to fix it. It may be harder on the Cavi but on my BMW you just loosen a tension bolt on the side of the head to relieve tension off the chain.

Damn that thing is gutted. John just called me and says they reinsulated the whole dash plus he ordered me 3 new front speakers so I gotta drop it off again Saturday mornin.

No free pads apparently the car has aftermarket pads on it

You should hook me up with some free expensive parts. That die cast gs is pretty hot.

Sorry to thread jack julz. If you get rid of the car let me know. I'd consider pickin it up

Yea Jon's a good guy he will take care of you. Its actually those white clips you see in the picture right under the windshield that causes most of the rattle, but the guy that did yours rattle-proofs everything. I can't get you free parts but I could probaly get them to you at my cost. So I guess you put some pads on it? I did see they were aftermarket. Next time you come in for service ask for Jason to work on your car. I'll hook you up

sorry to hear about your car, however you might want to ask a few friends to at least take a quick look at it. the shop misdiagnosed the car once already, and there is a good chance that this diagnosis is not correct either.
i still say you just have a vac leak.

btw, whats the recommended service on a timing chain?
