i thought about that too, particularly because, IF the pergatory theory still holds up for some reason, he seemed to have worked his stuff out last week, and i was expecting him to be a gonner this week... but, if you think about it, lots of people weren't in the episode at all, bernard and his wife... etc... so they probably just leave certain cast members out of certain episodes... (although eko would have been a prime candidate for finding walt... instead of gimpie sawyer?)

I think a lot of them are gonna have some sort of connection to the island. Jack and his friend that was in the hatch, Kate and the horse, Ecko and his brother, etc... There's probably more I just can't think of right now. Hopefully it will all be explained

yes, all that really leads to the pergatory theory, to me...yet they are saying that one's debunked...

It was just to connect him to the island. Everyone has had "something" on the island that connected them to it!

Jack - Father's Coffin,
Kate - Horse
Locke - Walking
Charlie - Heroine
Hugo - "The Numbers"

gotta love surviving a plane crash only to find out you can miraculously walk again. aside from them actually surviving the crash I think it may have been the first sign that there was something special about this island.

Yeah, they beat me to it. He was a criple (legs were borked), and had to use a wheelchair, until they crashed and all the sudden he could walk!

i think the pergatory theory sounds right on too. but the writers say they are not dead. so who knows. im leaning towards the magnetic field experiment thing.

ahaha me and ash just talked about this.

yeah locke is putting himself in a power position. he has two very vital things as of now that only he can get to.

also hes acting all hardass instead of mr sincere.

yeah, this episode really was a downer for Charlie. Was Jack stitching Charlie's face with a staple? I'm not sure what he was using.

EDIT
timmah- that was a needle/hook with thread , i was just curved... but i really didn't think he looked like he needed stitches in the first place
