Jim how early do you think your going to start on the fuel tank. Not the easiest when doing as a one person job. Make sure most of the fuel is out too obviously. It's not like the stock pump should be drawing too much voltage (I don't know the specific working) or anything. I have a stock pump sitting around when I changed mine if you need it.

Probably going to start way early. like 7-8am, before the heat of the day. Of course before the issues were happening, I put gas in the car so its got about a half tank of premium (going to be siphoned into the 300.)

I wound up picking up an SVT focus pump. After reading a ton, it turns out they're interchangeable, higher flow, and a lot less money than a oem gt pump.

Your Mustang doesn't require premium so unless its tuned for it save your money.

I filled up $3.21 yesterday. It is awesome to only spend $36 to fill up versus 85 every week.

agreed. 50+ mile a day commute of premium adds up really quick. especially at 13-14mpg lol

I'm between 50-60 miles a day on premium... but I get 20-22.5mpg daily. It actualyl costs me about the same as the Mustang on regular only getting in the 18-19s.

If I commuted like I used to in my Chevy it would cost me 160 a week on fuel. The Scion is awesome on fuel.

Should be pushin 30 mpg huh?

I went from a cavalier to a Dakota that got 13 mpg, then a sunfire that got 30 hammering it,to a ranger that gets 14. My subarus pushed 25.

Need to get back to something for road trips, and weekend fun.

What a night... Went to the bar, came home and asked my friend to let me know she got home alright, she text me from Wawa saying she stopped for food. I wake up to a text from her at 4 am saying she shoulda stayed at my place... Turns out she got food and water at Wawa and then fell asleep in her car... She woke up in an ambulance on the way to the hospital and now doesnt know where they towed her car. Some how she also didnt get a DUI, not really sure how she dodged that bullet.

In other news, THE AC IS BACK ON! HOORAY!

I need to chill with my car stuff for now and everything I don't need. Credit card isn't getting down and the mortgage is always killing one of my paychecks.

Same here. My boss just sent me an email asking me to email someone to get an update on something. Not sure why she didn't just email that person directly and CC me since its the same amount of work but gets from point a to point b without adding an extra step.

Jim did you get around to changing the pump. Realize when upgrading to SVT pump that you will need to get a tune. You'll be pumping more fuel at that point.

Didnt get around to changing out the pump. I had the car running a lot on saturday, but after about 20-30 min it would cut off like it ran out of gas.

From the reading I've been doing, a tune is not needed. Since its a returnless system, the FPDM regulates the amount of fuel that is pushed from the pump to the injectors.
