yeah it's getting out of hand but honestly that's the way most car meets are. people do dumb things and everyone gets kicked out. I hate to stereotype but it's the classless ghetto ass people driving pos civics that always have something to prove. Watching those civics attempt to burn out is now more of an amusement than a problem. Last night some guy in a Integra broke his axle showing off, im just waiting for the day where 2 civics crash than I can just walk over and laugh my ass off.

New to the forum. Just found this thread. I lived basically right there for a couple years and I never notices a tuner meet at that Lowe's. But I guess that doesn't mean there wasn't one.

I hope this thing is still going on regularly. I'll have to do a drive by there one Tuesday soon. I would have last night had I seen this thread. I've been looking for something very local to maybe try to some folks and check out some cars. I'm a little old and reserved to be hanging out with kids. But if there's a group of older guys with new cars at this meet, I might stop. Not saying I'm too good for anything/one. I would just feel awkward around a bunch of 20 something's or younger.

Im 31 and i attend meets from time to time. There are a few of us. You won't like everyone at every meet. That's Just natural. I have, however, learned a great deal from some of the younger guys. And i have yet to regret attending any meet / event thus far.

I've gotten to a point now where I laugh at the kids that have to reverse then slam it into first to spin tires. I respect cars that make power but it seems like the cars that are slowest always have something to prove to everyone. I honestly have given up on caring though. We will find another spot like always and it'll just be us respectable people again. I actually think it's kinda fun finding new spots.

Lighting is very important though, LMAO!

I haven't even TRIED to do any type of a burnout. When I was a young, the hot rides were all "muscle cars" so doing a burnout was no big deal.

Had a friend with a beautiful 1972 Z28 with a small block 350 4 on the floor. He could smoke the tires in every gear. No sweat.
