I'm not worried I won't get the money. Just don't feel I should have to tell them what I'm using the money for in detail lol.

oh well. heading to my moms!
Dude, that's a lot of work for a loan. All I have ever had to do was apply online and come in the next day to sign papers and the money was deposited into my account.

My credit union(Citadel) is very easy to deal with. I applied at Julie's and I hated the whole process and it made me not even want to deal with them even though they offered a better rate.

The problem is that you're getting a personal loan rather than an auto loan. An auto loan or mortgage is in theory easier to get because they are secured. You don't pay, your car gets taken. But if you don't pay the personal loan, they can't take your car. I'm assuming that the car you're getting is way too old or high miles to qualify under auto loan status. I couldn't finance the 540 "traditionally" either.

What are you 19.. 20? When I was your age I was in a heap of debt and collections that finally caught up to me and had many years ahead of me fixing it. Also had a 1992 Ford Aspire that barely ran and a deadbeat roomate that still owes me $4700.... Man life is a whole lot better now.

Yea the car is a 96. To them it's worth half what the loan is for lol. Could i prove it's worth? Yes, but it's not worth the trouble honestly. So the personal loan was the best bet. Working out just fine for what it is.

Just have to insure it for it's true value and pay where it counts. Not a problem really
