Well it seems the jimmy only needs an intake manifold gasket, which is much better than a headgasket like I originally thought. Bought a flywheel off of a guy on dsmtuners and still waiting to hear back about the clutch. So the talon sits some more lol

Good afternoon fellow dsmers...I recently parted out my 98 Tsi Awd after owning it since November 2003.

Naturally, I had to move up to the Evo. I scored this 2005 Evo 8 GSR from the original owner who babied it....

It has HKS 272's, adjustable cam gears, 255 walbro, injen piping, agency power bov, STM 3 inch downpipe and mid pipe, greddy carbon Ti axle back, swift springs suspension, rota wheels, MR headlights and taillights, USDM Evo 9 front bumper and JDM evo 9 rear bumper, and updated evo 9 brembos and rear wing. It also came with a defi boost gauge, aem wideband and pioneer navi/dvd.

Hey all, well unfortunately it is that time for me to part with the talon. I did some soul searching today and came to the conclusion that having a fun car is not very fun when you can only drive it 3 weeks out of the year. Not to mention the insurance on it was costing me an arm and leg (coupled with my DD) and to be honest, i just want to focus on other things, so there is no real room for the talon. It is a complete car atm, minus a clutch. All the parts are still in it minus the SAFC and the new replaced trans parts. But, if you guys are looking for a great deal on 2g DSM stuff, hit me up. Trying to get as much sold by the end of next week as possible, as i'll be calling a wrecker to bring this sucker away so i can turn in her plates and registration. Ive given you guys some links, so feel free to make offers! If you need random parts, let me know!!

my swap is finally underway on my 93 Summit.....I just ordered another $300 worth of stuffs from extreme that I forgot or was deciding on. I figure you guys might wanna check it out








What's left to do:
-redo the RHD EVO II harness to fit in the LHD engine bay
-throw in the Wally 255
-run the smic
-full rad/pusher fan install
-get a new clutch cable

The engine is from a 91 Talon. rebuilt bottom end, BSEK, E316G, Redone head, ARP's, Kiggly springs, HKS 272's. Tuning is via an EVO II EPROM and link V3 lite. I want to be able to street/track the car. I will prolly run 12psi so I can keep traction on the street and 20ish on a closed course with track tires.

I will be coming back up to PA this weekend to do the final relay wiring. I was waiting on the MPI wiring pinouts from a buddy. I just got them last week. That will give me power to the ecu and Fpump. After that is spliced in this sucker should run! I will have a vid of it after we get it moving. Link is already in it and it will be getting a tune on it right away remotely or in person from my buddy @ Spictuning.

I REALLY glad I don't have any options but rear defrost on this car. the thing is BASIC. it's really helped me out. no AC, no power windws, no crazy stuff. after the thing runs I will attempt to wire the fans to the ECU, since they usually run off a temp sensor. Only reason to change it is do link can turn them on if I want to.
