I have always had great luck with ACT clutches. 2600 - if you need more pressure then 2900. If you are making too much power for a 2900 then you should be using a twin disc anyways.

I think its the amount of pressure that the pressure plate puts on the crankshaft that causes the issue. Ive been told the clutchmaster's series clutches work pretty good on 7 bolts. Plus, for the price i'm willing to give it a shot.

You should be basing your clutch choice on torque, not wheel horsepower. MT90 is good stuff, but Dia Queen is amazing! What thevidon mentions is decent advice. 2600 is good for most street applications.

Im going with a clutchmasters FX-200. ACT's are nice, but again I have a 7 bolt, which ACT's are not too friendly with.

That's an old wive's tale ...if your motor is going to crank walk, then it's going to crank walk no preventing it. Many folks have run ACT 2600 on 6/7 bolt motors just fine. If you are that worried about it, you can disconnect the clutch switch so you won't be putting the load force with little to no oil pressure.

this. i never took off the wire for the clutch either. EVERY ONE said "its gonna walk with that AL flywheel and a 16g man"......NOPE. the car had 149K on it when I bought it and installed the setup and i drove it to 172ish K. I had some issues with jumped timing, bent valves, old heads, etc. I pulled it last year and it's sitting in the back room as a short block.....STILL zero play and happy. lol.

by 100K if it wants to take a walk it should have done it.

I've had close to 300 now. Never had one crankwalk yet.

Crankwalk is WAY overhyped. 6 bolts are hard to come by these days and plenty of guys are now building 7 bolt motors and I can't remember the last time I heard about someone actually getting crankwalk.

Go with an ACT 2600 and a 6 puck. Simple, easy, reliable and well proven for years.

I am sure you will be fine. Pretty sure I saw on T00nerz that on the Southbend PP Exedy was stamped all over it.

If you're lucky than I must have hit the lottery! My basement is a DSM graveyard! Not as elaborate or deep in the DSM's as EklipzGSXkid, though. LOL

Ive got two sets of injectors I need gone ( as I need to buy a clutch soon) one is fic 550cc and the other set is rc 750s. Anyone know a fellow dsmer that needs some good injectors? Make an offer, just trying to raise funds for a nice stage 2

I will trade you one of the good clutch kits you seen at my garage for them if it helps you. Then I would just eventually sell them.
