the M5 comes in manual... (is that what you were referring to?) and i disagree about audi's Ive owned two and never had an issue with either (one I left "stock" one was pretty "heavily" modified) either way the M's are nice, My mini out handled e36 M's all day though and im prettttyyy sure my Miata could as well!

theres some wacky loop hole, behind the scenes thing you have to do to get to edit your applications. i knew, then they changed the layout and i didnt know anymore. I think the last time i had to do it i just used the Help > FAQs section to figure out how to delete them.

Found out how to do it. I have a lot to delete lol.

1. Click on 'privacy settings' from you're account menu.
2. Click on 'edit your settings'
3. Click the edit settings you want to remove (it's towards the bottom of the page)
4. Click what you want to remove, and confirm it.

It's that easy.

Wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The roads are no longer roadblocked. We got power back so we will have a warm house again.

And spend about 2 hours talking to the local police chief about nothing... he apparently wasn't working all that hard. He did say he wouldn't care if we didn't have the permit to get the cat we really wanted (Serval). Dammit!

Nah, it was just kind of chilling on the roof from the weight. After everything melted this afternoon the branch rose back up again. But it was a big enough branch that if I moved the rv while it was sitting on it, it probably would have ripped off one of the air conditioners or the satellite or something...

yeaahhhhh I keep hearing anecdotal evidence that SOME VW's and audi's are reliable but that just doesn't crush the overwhelming body of evidence that they are sucky mexican built pieces of trash. At least for me. If everyone else wants to own them and reduce the value of BMW M cars so I can afford the next one more quickly, that's fine with me. The mini may have outhandled the M3, same as the miata... they are very light cars. But BMW M cars have never been about that. The M3 is a no sacrifice car. It's as best as it can be at every category. Reliability, handling, power, SAFETY, cargo space, luxury, etc. I really don't get why people bother with other cars. To me an audi is basically a bmw that sucks at all the things that make a bmw a bmw. Like being reliable and easy to work on. I can tell you stories about the 30 valve v6 as well as the 1.8T. Suffice to say, my VW loving friends haven't made any inroads in convincing me to own one despite their strange attempts. When I say audi/vw i mean say mid 90's through late 2000's. The older ones were genuinely decent cars... the newer ones... They're so hot I'd be willing to ignore the likelihood of problems.

Oh and I was referring to the fact that the M5 comes in manual and that the E55 AMG doesn't. I take that to mean it's a girly car. Maybe it's a dual clutch SMG something or other and I guess that would redeem it.

Everyone knows I'm weird with the BMW's. Most people I know look at it and they just can't see the value. It's just too much money. I don't get that. We spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on houses that we manage to spend 4 hours a day in after work. I spend 2 hours a day in my car. It should be really really nice. Not nice in one way, nice in *every* way. I don't want to be fixing some random ****up on the side of the road in business clothes. So I can get a BMW and spend $50K instead of $30K. It seems reasonable to me. The car will last a lot longer, and more importantly, I'll actually want to own the car longer. But since I will never buy a new car, the equation for me is different than that even. I could get an 04 STi for $20K or an 02 M3 for $20K. To me, it's a HUUUUUUGE no brainer. Someone who wants economical mod potential... well it's a different story... but my cars are daily drivers FIRST, race cars second. Besides that 04 sti is more likely to have been beaten on and the engine is much closer to max potential and thus will have more wear for the same amount of miles.

I keep forgetting that I work on my own cars though. If you're a dealer service kind of guy, BMW's don't make a whole lot more sense than most cars. BMW labor rates are pretty nuts, especially considering how easy they are to work on.

I don't understand why they would care in any case. It's not like a serval can do a whole lot more damage than a pitbull whose gone off it's rocker... can they?

Who's up?
Found a gold mine today.
It's sitting pretty waiting for me to do marvelous things to it.
Hopefully it'll be in my name and on the road tomorrow.

The mini may have outhandled the M3, same as the miata... they are very light cars. the minis are almost 3000 lb's IIRC, a quick search shows an E36 M3 weighs in at 3100 and the miata at 26-2700... just sayin But BMW M cars have never been about that. The M3 is a no sacrifice car. It's as best as it can be at every category isnt EVERY car the best IT can be.... really? My audis interiors fit and finish **** on E36 cars, My moms 535 is gorgeous inside I WILL give you that. Reliability Proof??, handling, power from what i am reading a stock E36 M3 makes 240hp and a comparable B5 s4 makes 261hp SAFETY, cargo space, luxury, etc. wouldnt say the M cars are "no sacrifice" cars although you seem pretty biased... The e46 and up are pretty baller (but still pretty unimpressive except the e30 & E92) but the E36 never really impressed me (not saying that because you have one, but I have driven numerous variations, come close to buying, and unless they were boosted, I was left totally unimpressed (and the boosted ones all seem beat to **** but more importantly UNRELIABLE)

One of my good friends works at VAC and has a nice super clean E30 M3 that i have the utmost respect for, that and the E92 are the only ones I would consider... The mini had the trim of a BMW (heated leather, nav, etc which is probably more than any E36 M car)

I really don't get why people bother with other cars. To me an audi is basically a bmw that sucks at all the things that make a bmw a bmw. Like being reliable and easy to work on. weird my moms 535 has had more recalls and issues than any audi i have ever had. I can tell you stories about the 30 valve v6 as well as the 1.8T. as Far as reliability my first audi (30v) is still going strong at over 200k with only regular maintenance, my second worked 1.8 is also going strong at over 150k and it has not had a easy life... I am speaking from my own experiences of course but I have heard just as many BMW horror stories as Audi stories... Suffice to say, my VW loving friends haven't made any inroads in convincing me to own one despite their strange attempts. VW owners are just retards for the most part When I say audi/vw i mean say mid 90's through late 2000's. The older ones were genuinely decent cars... the newer ones... They're so hot I'd be willing to ignore the likelihood of problems. B6 and B7 s cars are hot... we can agree on that but I really havent heard of many issues with the newer models.
Bolded = me
