Yea, its really not that bad...

It's best to do it on a dyno or have an wideband guage though...otherwise theres no garuntee really. If you're tuning on a dyno with a tailpipe sniffer, keep in mind there will be a few hundred rpm delay between whats actually happening in the engine and the readings at the end of the exhaust. The closer upstream the sensor is, the more accurate it will be.

In my experiences 1% AFC change amounts to roughly .2 air fuel change. I'm sure this varies by car but both the NA and Single turbo supra have been about that. For a turbo car, I'd personally keep it between 10.8-11.5, I really wouldn't go any leaner then mid 11's...you CAN, but I wouldnt. 11.2 is a good spot.

I think I had the black NA between 11.8 and 12.3

Keep in mind your tune can change based on weather conditions and temperature, etc...so you don't want to tune it to on the edge of safety

For basic mods on an NA car, they work great. Very easy to use. On a more advanced setup, they are very limited in what they can do. If you need timing, fuel trim, 3D mapping capabilities, knock detection, etc...no, not for you at all.

BUT, they can work for you. It's how my Supra is setup now because the guy I bought it from had something called a Perfect Power SMT6 and the software to go with it was so bad it wouldn't connect to my damn computer. So I ripped that out and threw in the SAFCII out of the black NA. It keeps the car from running pig rich, shooting flames, and stalling when I let off. But its limited in its ability to quickly adjust to a big turbo thats still spinning when I let off and thats why I'm getting 16.5mpg.

Eventually it'll be AEM or MAP ECU2 for me
