Google. You will be amazed how simple they really are. I've never personally taken one apart but from everything I've read it is a walk in the park.

i wonder if this winter, which is the 2nd in a row of large snow fall, is a sign that our area is now in a different climate zone? if thats the case and our winters are more often going to be like this i think my 2nd car will be quickly become a second truck or SUV.

I'm grumpy but I don't really have a good reason to. Other than my boss pawning off management tasks onto me. Do you want me to code or run the project? You don't get both without paying consultant rates.

/\ I hear ya. I'm taking a break for a few minutes while everyone else answers phones for once... like is supposed to be their job. I can't work on what I'm supposed to be doing if I'm always jumping up to help customers and answer phones.

We've a lot of trouble at work lately with receiving parts on time and have basically had a severe lack of communication from the dealerships and suppliers. We heard from 3 of them yesterday and so far this morning who have said that they can't call the shop from a land-line, but they get through alright from cell phones. We just switched to Comcast for everything ...3 phone lines, a fax line, cable, internet... two weeks ago so we figure it's a problem with them.

Called about 45 minutes ago and it turns out that with Comcast business voice or whatever there's a "Do not disturb" feature enabled that blocks calls based on distance from our shop. WTF!!! Who the hell would ever want to block calls, especially as a business? So now it's turned off and allowing all calls and the phones have been ringing like crazy for the last 30 minutes. It's nice to see that they implemented such a 'useful' feature and screwed with our business the last few weeks. Assholes.

I'm sure they did. Comcast is terrible, but at least it's better than D&E that we just switched from. They're garbage. The interwebz worked like 50% of the time. There have been Comcast customers all around us for years... every house or business along Rt. 100 has them. however, we were evidently in a 1/4 mile dead zone where they refused to run their service unless WE paid for every cent of the installation of new lines, etc.... $5500+. After enough bitching about it we finally got the service installed for free as it should be, but they suck anyway.

We don't have a choice being in the sticks. Its Comcast or sat(and even that is a PITA since we live on the side of a big hill where they need to be pointed)

yea i have direct tv now which i'm not a huge fan of either but at least they have decent customer support.

comcast was over charging me for a year, it took about just as long to get my money back. It's worse than trying to deal with the state workers.

Sat has **** for latency. I remember the old school hughes net has like a 4 second round trip time. It works for browsing the web but can you imagine google suggest with 4 seconds wait before it updates? Anything like that will work like ****. I heard though that there is a new startup that is using tons of satellites placed in low orbit and the latency is supposed to be awesome, good enough for gaming even. I would consider getting something like that if I went on the road in the rv.

EDIT: this is of course talking about internet. I use dish for tv and LOVE it. so cheap too, and since I have a dish on the rv one subscription gets me tv in 2 places.

Agreed on the truck/SUV. But I would get a lot of use out of the truck.
