apparently it can take months for a bruised rib to heal... fml... i bruised some on my right side about a week ago and they hurt more today than they did last week. sadly, the way i got it was slipping on the siderail of becky's truck to put the windshield wiper down. this was during the snow prior to the last one. i must've went about 6" and hit my chest on the pillar of the windshield. knocked the breath right out of me and took a minute to stand back up from being doubled over in pain. looks like i'm out of the gym longer than i wanted to be...

Best thing you can do for those ribs now is breathe normally. Don't do short shallow breaths, fight the pain.

breathing isnt terrible. just reminds me that something is wrong. i can breath in deep and it doesnt hurt any different than breathing normal. twists and turns are a bitch though. i don't think i cracked anything... but this **** sucks hah

Yikes. That sucks, Ken. One of our (awesome) volunteers cracked her rib around Thanksgiving. She helps during distribution and lifts heavy cases of food. She has been in since she cracked it but didn't tell us about her injury. I don't know how she was lifting anything with a cracked rib.

LOL I just remembered this:
When I first started at Acura, this guy paid his service bill with an AMEX Black Card. Not knowing much about them, at the time, I said, "Woah, nice card." Little did I know, it cost him $2500/year to have that card.
I though ti was funny.
