I was there once awhile back... and cash advanced on my credit card. Not sure how its legal to have ATMS in a casino with drunk people. Can't sign a contract legally when drunk but you can withdraw tons of money. Figure that LOL

Too drunk to remember much though.

Yeah there's other things to do down there. They have a neat little mall across from Ceasar's Palace. They have outlets in AC too, but obviously kind of cold to be walking around haha. I saw one of the cirque de sol things in one of the hotels, which I saw last year and was cool. Lots of music events happen there. Me though, I'm just all about the gambling haha.

see that's my thing, i dont drink enough to be worried about withdrawing a crap ton of money from a well placed ATM. I'd definitely be one of those people that would just bring $100 cash and stop either before i spent it all or while i'm still doing well. i've never gambled before... plus i dont have any idea how to play poker or understand the concept behind most of the games that are out there.

i knew there were lots of concerts and shows that happened down there but i dont think i knew about the outlets or that there's places to shop near the hotels. that's pretty awesome. i wish my birthday wasn't in March! I kind of want to do something for it but can't decide on what.

You would be amazed how much you drink without realizing it when they are bringing you drinks on the house constantly.

Timing still looks good -- generally 4-7 PM in the city for light snow to start, 2-5 PM to our south, and after 6 PM to the north. Most of the storm's thump should be in the 11-5 timeframe overnight.
i'm hoping it holds off till late so i can pick up that 55g setup that is in the FS section.

I just hope they do a better job with 309 this time around for tomorrow morning. I made it to work pretty easily but it was a huge mess lol

nah, i really dont drink that much. I'm sure i'd be able to tell the servers there "no" more easily than I can tell Jim "no" after he already brought me a new drink and paid for it while we're out. lol

danpan, hatechu for being out of work already.

side note...i'm confused. the air conditioner definitely just kicked in above my desk. not ok.

i did this the only time i ever went to a casino. played roulette like a boss... ok, more like a manager. put $20 on the table out of my own money and won something like $60-80 on a spin ($5 max bets) so i put $20 back in my stash and played with the house money for a couple hours going up and down and walked out without winning or losing any of my cash.

the house always wins it back if you don't walk away. but i was there for a birthday party and $60 wasn't enough for me to dick around while other people played. I had a blast... and you certainly can have fun and not lose a ton of money. just gotta go in expecting to walk out with nothing.

Thats only a few miles from my place. We aren't supposed to get the storm until like 9PM or so from what I read this morning on weather.com

You should be OK.

i'm down for a parx meetup if people want to go. i won't play cards though... watched my buddies lose $50 in about 2 minutes... roulette is where its at. one of the games that has better odds and i think is more fun as you get into it... and more fun because you actually have a decent chance of winning some money

i'd be down... i'd just need someone to be patient enough to teach me concepts.

at the casino night in FL for Jim's work's holiday party I couldn't understand how people were putting their chips down at the roulette table. I understand the red/black squares with individual numbers but the other sections of the table for double or triple whatever just lost me.

i learned by playing dragon quest 8... http://www.dragonquest8.com/

haha. roulette is fairly simple once you get the hang of it. i usually don't worry about the "multipliers"... u just worry about covering as much ground as i possible can

Afternoon All,
I went to Triumph in New Hope last night. Matt White (he sings this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfchPk4t8Ks ) gave a free performance there.
I got to meet him, he sat down with me and talked too. It was great. Got a signed poster personalized to me too.
